Update on our beautiful boy, Bo 🤍

Today was a rollercoaster. When I arrived with his Woolworths chicken, he wanted absolutely nothing to do with me — even gave me a little growl. Pain, confusion… I get it. I’m clearly “bad mommy” right now, and Tiff at the vet is his new favourite human 😅

But… things have turned 💛

We were really worried — unexpected bleeding on his chest, laboured breathing, and the fact that he had brought up plastic and small bone fragments.

As a precaution, the vets are covering all bases, including possible rat poisoning and/or ehrlichia.

And then… the update we needed 🙏
Bo is up, walking, gave a little tail wag, and even showed interest in his chicky 🐔

That tail wag meant everything.

Please keep him in your thoughts, prayers, and positive energy — he’s not out of the woods yet, but he’s fighting.

Cuteness alert 🩷



Maddison is just 5–6 weeks old… a tiny pit bull pup who has already seen far too much.

She was found riddled with fleas. Most of her siblings didn’t make it. The others were given away… and she was the only one left behind.

She is safe now 🩷
On her way to the vet in Langebaan for her first vaccination and a second chance at life.

Now she needs what matters most…
a home.

Maddison is still incredibly young and will need:
• Someone home during the day
• A loving, committed family
• Ideally other dogs over 1 year old
• A safe, secure environment

This is the perfect age to introduce her to cats and shape her into the dog she’s meant to be.

We would far rather place her directly into a home than have her grow up in a shelter environment.

🚨 STOP SCROLLING – MOOSE HAS BEEN RETURNED 💔 🚨



Our gorgeous boy Moose has been returned… and our hearts are broken for him.

Moose is a 10½-month-old Labrador cross, one of Bridget’s babies, and he is everything you want in a dog — gentle, affectionate, loyal, and incredibly loving.

The family adored him. This was not an easy decision. But the environment wasn’t right for him. The children (especially the boys) were a bit rough, and Moose started reacting to that specific interaction.

👉 Outside of that environment, he is exactly who he’s always been —
a soft, calm, cuddly, deeply loving boy.

• 10½ months old
• Labrador cross
• Sterilised, vaccinated, microchipped
• Loves other dogs – would LOVE a canine friend
• Gentle, affectionate, and incredibly loving
• Just wants to be close to his humans

• A home with another dog to play with
• Someone home during the day (non-negotiable)

Please keep this gorgeous, gorgeous baby in your thoughts 🤍

I don’t even know yet if Baba is a boy or a girl… but what I do know is that this sweet soul was lying on the side of the N2, in the inside lane, against the barrier… after being hit by a car.

Multiple injuries. Broken, terrified, and completely helpless.

I couldn’t just drive past.

With the help of a kind stranger, we carefully lifted Baba into my car, and I am rushing to get to the vet. We are heading straight to Ross at Claremont Vet, praying that there is something we can do to save this beautiful life.

If there is a chance, we will fight for it.
And if there isn’t… then Baba will not suffer — we will make sure this baby is treated with dignity, love, and kindness until the very end.

No animal deserves to be left alone on the side of the road like that.

Two years ago, a loving family adopted a beautiful pitty cross from us. She was just 8 months old then.

is now 2 years and 8 months old, and deeply loved.

In the last few months, everything has fallen apart.

Layla’s mom lost her job in October. Shortly afterwards, they lost their loving cat after being poisoned. And today, I received the heartbreaking message that her husband has tragically passed away in a car accident.

Her husband had also lost his job, and the house now needs to be sold to cover all their debts.

She is now left trying to rebuild her life from nothing.

She has two dogs. One is elderly, and she is heartbreakingly having to make the decision to let her go with dignity. The other is Layla — young, full of life, and needing a home.

Layla is everything you want in a dog:

There is no adoption fee — only a requirement for a truly exceptional home.

• Trainer / Facilitator (life skills & entrepreneurship)

She is urgently seeking employment in the Northern Suburbs (currently Kraaifontein area).

We have about three months to find Layla a loving home, but we need to help her secure stable employment as soon as possible — giving her a chance to stand strong again.

Our sweet little -Me has survived everything life has thrown at her — and today, she has conquered FIP.

Today she took her 84th and final GS tablet, and she is stronger and healthier than ever.

This beautiful soul has endured feeding tubes, battled snuffles twice, and faced more than most ever should — yet she has fought through it all.

We could not have done this without the incredible team at Claremont Vet — Dr Ross, Tiffany, and the rest of the team — as well as Trevor, our sanctuary manager.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

She is happy. She is healthy.
And she has many, many beautiful years ahead of her.

We love you Mini-Me 💗💗💗💗
