Hand thrown black earthenware tumblers with white specks.

Who has bought these from me in the past and put them in the dishwasher?

Please let me know if you do and how they hold up?

I have had customers tell me they have.

Thank you to all of my customers who supported me over this weekend event

Thank you to for organising a great spot for us to trade, and to all the neighbouring traders who offered helping hands.

To the lovely lady who bought the black clay tumblers on Saturday morning, and asked me to keep you box until you return, I still have your box but unfortunately it will go back to Swellendam with me today, unless you contact me.

The tagine which I made awhile back finally got fired.
It was handmade from a terracotta clay( about 10 kgs)
I have made the base a bit deeper than a normal tagine, and have left it unglazed.

Praying that it works well on my gas hob or over a fire

Opening the kiln this morning after an earthenware firing yesterday.

It’s always like Christmas, but I try not get too excited because so much can go wrong.

My tagine was in this firing and it came out well, next step to test it.

Goodbye pine tree…..
This is what I do on my weekend, and no it’s not for fun, but keeps me fit.

Owing a larger piece of land is great but it’s a lot of work.

We have had a few fire scares this year and have been told to clear all invasive species from our land.

The rest of the tree will be cleared by someone with a chain saw. This is as far as I go up😅
