Another year has passed and we are all ready to put our feet up and relax and enjoy the holidays!

With relaxing, we must keep taking care of our bodies, and often times these may seem more challenging during the holiday season. Luckily, we will be posting 12 tips for the next 12 days to inspire you to keep going with your healthy lifestyle and diet.

Holidays are a time for indulgence, but also a time to press that reset button in your mind and body to get back refreshed for the new year.

Don’t let any other person or company depict what you are eating. Take back the control.
- Eat real food
- Home cooked meals is the best investment you will ever make in you and your family’s health

The Story Behind Our Bone Broth Business

Thea, has been making bone broth since much longer than the existence of Simply Ukudla.

Thea started making bone broth for all of its health properties and to help her during her fasting efforts since 2017. She knew that if she consumed bone broth while fasting she could stay in ketogenesis and fast a little longer.

Fast forward some years and that happened where we couldn’t really move around and can’t really say its nice, Thea and Marissa started Fast to Feast Online Workshops. Where they educated people on how to fast effectively and efficiently for weight loss, as well as the physiology behind fasting.

During these workshops we recommended the consumption of bone broth and added a recipe in the meal plan. One day, one of our clients (and neighbour) said we should start making it and selling it to our clients and the people around us.

Fast forward four years and we have made thousands of litres of broth, and now provide broth to many private clients but as well vendors in the Paarl region!

When it comes to allergies, avoiding the foods you react isn’t going to solve the problem. Your body is trying to tell you that it needs healing and that it hurt.

Yes, allergies can be genetic, but even then healing the gut, strengthening the liver and eating a WHOLE FOOD based diet will help you get back to eating those real foods you’ve been reacting to.

When our body is responding to REAL food in a negative way, we must consider taking away the synthetic/processed foods.

Synthetic/processed foods are not natural for the body to process or metabolise. In turn, our body is then inflamed and irritated and responds by then reacting to real foods!

Allergies/Intolerances is another way of your body saying:

- My liver is overloaded
- My gut needs healing
- I can’t detoxify properly

In response we must
- Focus on a whole food diet
- Remove processed foods
- Eliminate foods causing symptoms

Allergies and intolerances can’t all be healed, but it’s worth trying to changing certain aspects of your diet to reduce symptoms.

Spring is here!

The sun is shining and we are now swapping soups for salads, our boots for sandals and our rain jackets for dresses and shorts!

Spring is also a great time to declutter our cupboards, fridge and minds.

Declutter your house and add in some practices such as meditation, outdoor walks and fresh produce to keep your mind and body free of clutter as well!
