Westville shooting incident leaves 2 dead

This afternoon at around 12:30pm our control room received a frantic call from a witness reporting a shooting incident that had occurred outside a business park in westville.
On arrival our paramedics found 2 victims had sustained gunshot wounds. The male victim, believed to be in his 30s, had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The female victim, in her 20s, had also sustained a gunshot wound and was found to be in a critical condition. Paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilize the female and rapidly transported her to hospital. Unfortunately the woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
The events leading up to the incident are unclear at this stage. SAPS was on scene and will be investigating further.

Minibus Taxi carrying school children, on the first day of school, overturns on the N3

A terrifying scene unfolded on the N3 Durban-bound this morning, just before 7am, when a minibus taxi carrying school children overturned near the Mariannhill Toll Plaza.

First Responder KZN rushed to the scene, where paramedics and rescue teams found multiple injured passengers. Miraculously, no one was critically injured. All patients, with moderate injuries, were stabilized on-site before being transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.

Man Fights for Life After Being Trapped Beneath Vehicle

On Sunday 12th October at around 16h20, urgency filled the air in Pinetown as emergency crews from First Responder KZN, Mobi-Claw911, MC911 Rescue Support Services and JAG Security rushed to rescue a man trapped beneath a light motor vehicle (LMV).

According to witnesses, the man was pinned under his vehicle when the vehicle rolled forward onto him. Teams from MC911 Rescue Support Services and Ethekwini Fire worked tirelessly to free the man from underneath his vehicle. Once the man was freed, our paramedics work to stabilize the man, who was in a critical condition. Once the man was stabilized, he was transported to hospital for further treatment.

Thank-you to all the services on scene who worked so hard to free and stabilze the patient.

The cause of the incident remains unclear, but authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this shocking event.
