What a week and weekend. Personally, celebrating my son turning 10, going double digits!!! Realizing my 6 year old daughter's feet now hang at my knees when picking her up, ensuring a good juggle between school and practice schedules and seeing the practice reaching 7 years of service.
It has not come without its challenges and hurdles to get here but here we are, 7 years down the line. I am grateful to my family who encouraged and supported my vision, thankful to my team who have worked alongside me and to the network of health professionals we have met along the way. What a Blessing!!!

From full days to full heart. This week has been filled with Job shadowing (student), navigating new therapy, first time standing, unsupported sitting, IADL initiation and all the in between. And we're not done yet... Tomorrow we join in on a Wellness day!!!

Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa, celebrates 80 years this week. And how fitting that Heritage Day and OT week coincide... A service which has long since been a dream and goal of mine.

With Occupational therapy at Home, the aim is to reach a population who requires ongoing rehabilitation in order to meet the demands of everyday living. By attending to clients in their home environment, pure functional needs will be addressed at a higher level and thereby creating a space for increased control and independence for the individual.
