POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION UPDTAE

Technicians have completed looping of Ring Main Units (RMUs) and 95% of panel testing. Connection of supply cables to RMUs and breakers has also been completed. The team is finalizing dry ice cleaning in the Town North switch room and this has led to a slight delay in power restoration.

The team will run final tests on the system and then switch on .

ALERT 🚨🚨🚨

EMERGENCY WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION



Consumers in Evaton and Sebokeng areas are notified of a water supply interruption in effect. This is due to Eskom power failure affecting Sonland Park, Falcon Ridge and Rand Water Amanzimtoti pump station. Eskom has been notified of the power outage and teams are on site working on restoration efforts.

Rand Water is currently using two generators to maintain water supply however, due to the high demand, the Langerand reservoir remains critically low. Full pumping will resume as soon as power supply has been restored. Further updates will be communicated as and when there are developments.

The municipality is pleading for patience from consumers in Evaton and Sebokeng. We apologize for the inconvenience.
