High cholesterol is often referred to as a "silent" condition because it typically does not present any obvious symptoms. This leads many individuals to be unaware of their cholesterol levels until they undergo a routine blood test.

However, despite its lack of symptoms, high cholesterol levels can significantly increase the risk of serious health conditions if left untreated.

If you are 45 years and over, it's time to see your General Practitioner for a cholesterol check as part of a Heart Health check.

A body temperature of 37.5 Β° Celsius or higher is a fever. Fever commonly is associated with feeling cold and then hot. This is our body's way of trying to kill the infection.

The most reliable ways to measure body temperature are:
1. Under the tongue
2. In the armpit
3. In the ear
An infrared thermometer works the best!

Please contact your healthcare provider immediately when:

β€’ Lethargic / hard to wake up.

A sore throat could be more than just a flu. One of the more potentially serious causes is an infection with bacteria called Group A Streptococci. It is more common in children than adults

This infection in itself is not dangerous, but it can spread throughout the body and cause an immune reaction in the heart or kidneys which in turn will cause long term effects on these organs.

Common symptoms are:
πŸ‘‰ Fever
πŸ‘‰ Sore Throat
πŸ‘‰ Loss of Appetite
πŸ‘‰ Trouble Swallowing
πŸ‘‰ Enlarged red tonsils with white patches
πŸ‘‰ Tender / Swollen Lymph Nodes

Please note that if any of the above or headaches, abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, and a rash occur, book an appointment for a proper diagnosis.
