Every child should be able to say this…

I am healthy. I am safe. I am protected. I am loved.

But for many, access to healthcare, nutrition, and protection is still out of reach.

Under disability frameworks such as the World Health Organization definition of disability or tools like the Washington Group Questions on Disability, disability refers to long-term functional difficulties (for example difficulty seeing, walking, remembering, or communicating).

Since a C-section is temporary and does not usually cause long-term functional limitations, it is not categorized as a disability.

When it could be linked to disability

In rare cases, if complications from a C-section lead to long-term physical impairments (for example severe nerve damage or chronic mobility problems), the resulting condition—not the C-section itself—could be considered a disability

Today, I celebrate the mother that brought me on this earth I was born 10days after her birthday today was her birthday.

My prayer goes to all mothers, and my gratitude goes to all mother figures in my life. Thankyou for having walked this life with me, you made it easy because you CHOSE me.

Love you all.

Tips on how to test a business idea and put together a business plan
You’ve been doing it for a few months now – baking cakes, designing websites, giving extra
maths lessons, looking after the neighbourhood children or fixing phones. What started as
pocket money is now pulling in enough cash that you’re wondering, “Could this actually become
a real business?” The move from side hustle to startup is exciting, but it needs a strategy.
How to test your idea and build a solid foundation

Step 1: Validate before you escalate
Before quitting your another job or sacrificing all your earnings, prove that your hustle has
demand. Ask yourself the following questions:
• Do I have repeat customers?
• Am I turning people away because I’m too busy?
• Are strangers finding me, not just friends?
If the answers are yes, your idea has momentum. Now test it further by increasing your prices
slightly. If customers still pay, you've got real demand.

Step 2: Write a one-page business plan
You don’t need a 50-page document, but you do need clarity. A simple plan will outline:
• Your offering: What exactly are you selling?
• Your target market: Who needs this? Be specific. Will it be students, working parents or
small businesses?
• Pricing and costs: Are you making profit after ingredients, data or transport?
• Marketing plan: How will people find you? Via Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or word-of • Goals: What does success look like six months from now?

Step 3: Get your foundations right
Register a small business and open a separate bank account so that your business money doesn’t
mix with your airtime and lunch budget. Track every expense, even if it’s just in a notebook or
spreadsheet.

Step 4: Know when to leap
You’re ready to go full-time when your side hustle consistently earns at least as much as your
current income.
With high unemployment rates, Africa needs your ideas and your energy. With the right
preparation, that side gig could become your life's work – so start planning today!
