Good morning sister Brenda.. Kindly advise or post on my behalf. My girl is 2yrs 5months, she cant speak like other kids, but words like mummy, Daddy, hi, am fine... So a friend of my mine told me we take her to a certain old lady because she might have amasasala, (tongue tie) kumbali kululimi.. So she was cut a about a month ago... Took her back yersterday because we noticed the tongue still rests down even when she is crying.. She checked and found ati kishele akanono, so i should take her back... Sis Brenda, am so depressed right now,, os it that my child will be a deaf, or maybe i should give it time its too early? Thank you for your response in advance

Diabetes in pregnancy also known as diabetes during pregnancy is a condition where your blood sugar level becomes higher than normal. It is referred to as gestational diabetes if it was first noticed during pregnancy.
Diabetes in pregnancy usually occurs when your body can not control the amount of sugar produced due to inadequate insulin in the body.

• Being over weight before getting pregnant.
• Having a family member who is diabetic.
• If a person has had gestational diabetes before.

• You become more thirsty than normal.
• You become hungrier and eat more frequent than normal.
• You urinate more frequent than normal

𝗘𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗨𝗡𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗕𝗬:
• Macrosomia- which is a condition in which your baby grow so large above 4kg.
• Hypoglyceamia- which is also known as blood sugar lower than normal. this can occur to your baby shortly after birth.
• Jaundice which is yellowish discolouration of the eye or skin of the baby can also occur.

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧
Lifestyle modifications- this are measure taken by mothers to prevent and control diabetes in pregnancy and they include
• Exercising in which walking is preferable
• Weight reduction
• Reduction in carbohydrate foods and increase intake of vegetables
• Avoid late night intake of food
• Monitoring of blood glucose level at home
• Stoppage of alcohol intake

I'm just from reading stories of my fellow mothers who are struggling with help from relatives and I thought to myself that maybe there are some in Kabwe who are going through the same and I'm willing to help out
I have a 1 year old son, my mother in-law, my sisters in-law and my husband have been so helpful and I thought of extending the very same gesture to another woman
I can be helping during the day since I have about 3 people at home plus a nanny that can be looking after my boy. I'm willing to help from 10 hrs till somewhere 16 hrs, then depending on the distance I won't be doing it on a daily basis because of transport

• Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including obstetric, abdominal, pelvic, and other general scans.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and interpretation.
• Maintain patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Sonography or Radiography (with ultrasound specialization).
