What's on my mind? I've been thinking hard and long on the Ministerial charge given to us during our graduation from seminary some Thirty five years ago by the voice of one Dr. L. D. Really using the text 2 Timothy 4:1-5 KJV:
“1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. ”
God help us to forever be true to that Charge!

Veteran Shepherdess Mukupi Simakando (Mrs.) - Wife to the late Pastor Petros Simangolwa Simakando was put to rest this morning at Yuka Cemetery.
May the good Lord be with her two surviving PKs with the host of grand PKs she has left behind.
At 98 she has ran her race, ours remains to be run.
The first generation of Ministers and Ministerial Spouses who took the button from the white missionaries is truly gone and no more.

This great lady will be greatly missed!
A great trail blazer in her own right.
Among those that pioneered the Collegiate Forum/Youth Forum in Zambia which now falls under Public Campus Ministries.
Many years later she was among those that pioneered Agape Fountains Zambia and became it's first Chief Executive Officer. I got to know her much more and worked with her more closely during her brief stint as Agape Fountains Zambia CEO, having shared memorable times with the son Kalimina during my stay in the North Eastern English City of Newcastle upon Tyne.
I dreamt visiting the funeral house last night where I met a number of acquaintances but my heart literally melted as Kalimina Mwinga walked into the house and I literally sobbed as I hugged him and I woke up from my dream still sobbing and with tears on my chicks.
When I later picked my phone and went to Facebook it's this lovely photo of her mom posted by Kalimina that first greeted me.
My deepest condolences to you Kalimina and the rest of the family.
As we mourn this galant lady, let us remember that the best way to honor her legacy is to hold on to the God that she loved and so diligently served and emulate her selfless service to God and tireless ministry to mankind

What's on my mind!?! My darling wife of course.
As the Camp Meeting Sabbath is about to begin, I can't help but think of and miss my darling wife Sweet Mufaweli Sooka-Mungandi Sooka Mufaweli .
In case you sight her anywhere, please tell her I miss her big time!
Since we got married I have never done Camp Meeting all alone without her and it's such an awkward situation.
The Camp Meeting is going on well by me. It's so far so good. This afternoon we have baptized more than seventy precious souls. Kaoma West is a territory we laboured to open up to the gospel for ten long years as self supporting Evangelist. It's so gratifying to see places I went to completely unentered reporting as fully fledged churches. Of the six churches that make up the Mission District, five we pioneered from the scratch doing evangelist campaigns.
Yet once in a while I can't help feeling so lonely like a Pelican of the wilderness like an owl of the desert, all by myself.
“6 I am (feel) like a pelican of the wilderness: I am (feel) like an owl of the desert. 7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top. ”
Psalms 102:6-7 KJV
O God I'm so lonely!
