🌟 We’re Hiring: Hospital Accountant

Tinna Medical Centre is a growing, patient-focused healthcare institution committed to delivering high-quality medical services with professionalism, compassion, and accountability. We are seeking an experienced and confident Accountant to strengthen our finance department and support the hospital’s continued growth.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong ZRA audit and compliance experience and a solid background in regulated financial environments, preferably healthcare.
📍 Location: Plot 122, Kwacha Road, Buchi, Kitwe.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, reconciliations, payroll, and petty cash
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage full tax compliance with ZRA (VAT, PAYE, corporate filings)
• Represent the hospital during ZRA audits and inspections
• Support internal and external audits
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting
• Monitor cash flow, invoices, and receivables
• Ensure compliance with NHIMA and statutory requirements
• Implement strong financial controls and safeguard assets
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management
• Support operational staff with financial procedures
Required Qualifications
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification: ZICA (CA Zambia) preferred; ACCA/CIMA accepted
• Minimum 3–5 years accounting experience
• Proven experience handling ZRA audits and tax compliance
• Strong knowledge of Zambian financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel, QuickBooks, Sage or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills
• High ethical standards and attention to detail
• Strong communication and professional confidence
Preferred Experience
• Healthcare or hospital accounting experience
• NHIMA billing and claims management
• Internal audit processes
• Ability to work independently under pressure
