What is hydrocephalus?

Hydrocephalus is a neurological disorder caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep within the brain. This excess fluid causes the ventricles to widen, putting harmful pressure on the brain's tissues.

Hydrocehephalus can occur in both children and adults.

Results in :
-Poor coordination
-Loss of bladder control and/or frequent urination
-Difficulty remaining awake or waking up
-Sleepiness
-Irritability
-Changes in personality or cognition including memory loss

Symptoms in older adults may include:

-Problems walking, often described as feet feeling "stuck"
-Progressive mental impairment and dementia
-General slowing of movements
-Loss of bladder control and/or frequent urination
-Poor coordination and balance

PELVIC FLOOR DYSFUNCTION
Pelvic floor dysfunction is having difficulty coordinating your pelvic floor muscles, resulting in problems with urination, defecation (bowel movements), and having s*x.

The pelvic floor is a set of muscles that support many of your organs which are used to go to the bathroom and for s*xual activities. In females, it supports
the uterus, bladder, and colon and in males it supports just the bladder and colon. The urethra, the va**na, and the a**s are all openings in your pelvic floor.

Symptoms includeDifficulty urinating or having bowel movements
Difficulty urinating or having bowel movements and feeling like your bowel movements are not complete
Leakage of urine or f***s
Frequently feeling the need to use the bathroom
Feeling like you need to force out urine or f***s
Stopping and starting in the middle of urinating
Long-term constipation and needing to change positions to get out a bowel movement
Painful urinationUnexplained lower back painUnexplained pain in your ge****ls, a**s, or lower abdomen (pelvic region)

Causes
Pelvic floor dysfunction can be genetic. Some people simply have weaker muscles and connective tissue than others.

Other causes include;Surgery in the pelvic areaAgingBeing overweight or obesePregnancy and childbirthUsing the bathroom too often or straining too hard when going to the bathroomThe most common causes of this condition in women are pregnancy, aging, and being overweight. If you were pregnant and did not deliver your baby va**nally, you can still get pelvic floor dysfunction. This is because pregnancy itself changes your pelvic area, regardless of how you give birth.
