Menstrual hygiene is crucial for maintaining health and well-being. Here are some key points to ensure proper menstrual hygiene:

Regularly Change Sanitary Products: Whether you use pads, tampons, or menstrual cups, change them every 4-6 hours to prevent infections and odors.
Wash Properly: Clean the ge***al area with mild soap and water at least twice a day. Avoid using scented products which can cause irritation.
Dispose of Sanitary Products Safely: Wrap used pads or tampons in paper and dispose of them in a trash bin. Do not flush them down the toilet.
Wear Comfortable Clothing: Opt for breathable, cotton underwear and avoid tight-fitting clothes to reduce the risk of infections.
Stay Hydrated and Eat Healthily: Proper nutrition and hydration can help alleviate menstrual symptoms and support overall health.
Maintaining good menstrual hygiene is essential for preventing infections and ensuring comfort. Educating yourself and others about these practices can help promote health and dignity for everyone.

Keen Health Foundation, in collaboration with the dedicated Ministry of Health staff from Chitulika Mini Hospital in Mpika District, recently had the privilege of hosting enlightening sensitization meetings at Chitulika Secondary School. With over 200 adolescents in attendance, our discussions delved into crucial topics such as HIV/AIDS awareness, understanding STDs, the impact of abortions, and the broader implications on one's mental health and overall well-being. These sessions aimed to empower and educate our youth, fostering a healthier community for generations to come.
