Cerebral palsy is a neurological condition that occurs in children below 12. It's a condition that damages the cerebral cortex, a part of the brain responsible for directing muscles. In a nutshell, cerebral palsy is stroke for children.

Cerebral palsy may occur before or after birth, some of it's causes and Risk factors are;
*Low birth weight
*Premature birth
*Jaundice (yellow fever)
*Head trauma
*Substance abuse during pregnancy (alcohol, drugs....)
*Bleeding in the brain
*Lack of oxygen to the brain

Types of cp are;
*Floppy muscles
*Spastic muscles (stiffness)
*Fluctuating muscles (combination of both floppy and stiff)
*Athetoid (involuntary muscle movements)

Symptoms;
All of above and children with CP may have *cognitive development issues
*Vision, hearing and speech impairment
*Bowel and bladder problems
*Bone abnormalities like kyphosis and scoliosis.

Treatment includes physiotherapy, speech therapy, developmental therapy....

TALIPES EQUINAVARUS better known as CLUB FOOT is a birth defect in which one or both of the baby's feet are turned inwards.

It's cause is unknown but their are some factors that may increase the chances of a baby being born with it. These factors are;

*Family history of club foot (genetics)
*Smoking mother during pregnancy
*Insufficiency of amniotic fluid during pregnancy
*Other already present birth defects like Spina bifida.
*Baby boys.

Treatment includes surgery and physiotherapy

Autism spectrum disorder. Is a neurological developmental disorder that affects the way a child behaves, communicates and interacts with others. Autism is idiopathic (unknown cause) and a child with autism may have difficulties with their fine and gross motor skills.
Signs and symptoms may include;
Difficulties in transitioning through tasks or adapting to routine.
Delayed speech.
Repeated movements like flapping fingers.
Avoiding eye contact.
Being too sensitive or less sensitive to senses like touch (lite touch to them may feel like a punch)

Diagnosis
Autism can be diagnosed at an age as early as 2 using developmental milestones as a guide

Although the cause is not known, autism has risk factors which are

Baby born from old parents
Baby boys
Exposure of an expecting mother to certain chemicals
Problems during delivery.

Treatment includes; behavioral therapy, speech therapy, developmental therapy and physiotherapy for motor skills

A friend tripped and fail on the ground hurting their foot. Her blood vessels broke and leaked some fluids into their interstistial space. Her condition being acute, we did cryotherapy (ice therapy) to ease the pain and avoid any more swelling, then finished off with massage to reduce the swelling. Her condition is called *Peripheral oedema*, oedema means swelling

Cervical spondylosis is a general term for age-related wear and tear affecting the spinal disks in your neck. As the disks dehydrate and shrink, signs of osteoarthritis develop, including bony projections along the edges of bones (bone spurs).

Cervical spondylosis is very common and worsens with age. More than 85% of people older than age 60 are affected by cervical spondylosis.

For most people, cervical spondylosis causes no symptoms. When symptoms do occur, physiotherapy helps in pain management and maintaining range of motion
