COMRADE ALEXANDER MUMBA SAKALA, WELCOME TO THE RACE FOR MATERO CONSTITUENCY

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to my brother Alexander Mumba Sakala as he announces his candidacy for the Matero Constituency seat. This development marks a significant milestone in our collective pursuit of progress and development in our beloved constituency. As a fellow Matero bonafide and aspiring leader for 2026, I view this as an opportunity for constructive competition that will ultimately benefit our community.

The development of Matero Constituency requires leaders who possess an intimate understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities. As sons and daughters of the great Matero City, we are best positioned to craft solutions that address the specific needs of our community. Our familiarity with the constituency's dynamics enables us to develop targeted initiatives that drive meaningful progress.

While some may question Alex's decision to run for the seat, I firmly believe that it is his democratic right to aspire to leadership positions. What's more important is that he is a Matero dweller, and his local knowledge will undoubtedly inform his decisions and actions as a leader.

As candidates, we have a shared responsibility to engage in a respectful and issue-based campaign that showcases our unique strengths and visions. Our collective goal is to develop and improve Matero Constituency, and I'm excited to exchange ideas and collaborate towards this objective. Through this process, we can inspire each other to work towards a brighter future for our community.

The time has passed for regressive politics that do not add value to the nation, where political opponents are perceived as enemies instead of partners for community and national development. It's time to change the narrative in politics to show that, indeed, as political opponents, when one emerges as a winner, we can still meet with our opponents and share ideas on how to best develop our community and the nation at large. That's the type of leadership I desire for our communities and the nation, and that's the type of leadership I am ready to offer.

To Alex, I wish you success in your campaign. May our collective efforts yield a more prosperous and developed Matero Constituency. Let's work together to build a stronger community that benefits all its residents.

As you start your day, remember: Life may be unpredictable and challenging, but our God is BIGGER than any obstacle.

Psalm 104:24 reminds us, "How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures."

And Isaiah 40:28-29 declares, "The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom."

Let's put our TRUST in God's greatness and His ability to overcome ANY challenge. He's a God of miracles, wonder, and love, always guiding and supporting us every step of the way. Keep faith, keep hope, and remember HOW BIG OUR GOD IS.

LET US PRAY....

Heavenly Father, we humbly come before You with open hearts, seeking Your divine guidance and blessings. May Your loving presence watch over us, and may Your favor rest upon everything that concerns us. Grant us the grace to pursue our dreams with purpose and determination, using our lives to make a positive impact on our own lives and the lives of those around us.

WHERE MAN SEES BUT WITHERED LEAVES, GOD SEES SWEET FLOWERS GROWING
..Never ever look down on anyone because of their present situation. Sometimes the people you look down on today will be the ones you will look up to tomorrow.

When things are fine with you, don’t treat others like they are insignificant. A person who is down today can climb up triumphantly over adversities tomorrow. No one can predict the future because only God knows what tomorrow holds.

TAKE NOTE: A razor blade is sharp but can’t cut a tree. An axe is strong but can’t cut hair.

LESSON: Everyone is important according to their own unique purpose.

So, never ever look down on anyone, unless you are admiring their shoes.

BACK TO MY ROOTS

Yesterday, I had the privilege of spending quality time with the team that holds a special place in my heart - Red Lions Football Club. As someone who's been part of this incredible journey, I'm thrilled to share our latest achievements. During the morning press conference, my good friend and Zambia football legend, Chisamba Lungu, and I pledged our full support to help the team thrive. Our commitments include:

- Winning Allowances: We'll provide incentives for every match won
- Comfortable Camp House: Securing a suitable accommodation for the team
- Head Coach's Residence: Relocating Coach Newwell Sikazwe to a more suitable residence in Government Farms, Chunga

In the afternoon, I joined the team at Twikatane Grounds as they took on John Lang Football Club. Red Lions Academy showcased their exciting Tiki Taka style, resulting in an impressive 4-0 win. Huge congratulations to the team, led by Captain Lawrence Chewe.

As someone who played for Red Lions from 2002 to 2009, I believe it's essential to support existing academies rather than creating new ones. This approach not only builds on the foundation already laid but also ensures that talented young players receive the guidance and resources they need to succeed. By supporting Red Lions Academy, we're investing in the future of Zambian football and giving back to the community that nurtured us.

Coach Juma's dedication to Red Lions is truly inspirational, and we commend his efforts. He's played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of talented players like Chisamba Lungu, Simon Silwimba, Brian Mulenga, and many others who've gone on to achieve great things in football.

Big Shout-out to the team, Head Coach Mr. Newwell Sikazwe, Director - Coach Juma, Club Manager - Mr. Samson Chindema, and everyone involved. Let's keep pushing boundaries and achieving greatness.
