Today I was so happy to attend the Pads for power campaign held at Levy Mwanawasa medical university. It was a very good educational experience. I learnt the Government is doing more to end Period poverty in our Country. More policies are trying to be put in place.

Menstruation is a biological and physiological makeup of a female. It's not optional for a female and we need more men to understand that.

We need more Menstrual hygiene talks and we need more men on board. What happens to the girl that has no one else but her Father or brother or Uncle to tell her about these things.

The girl child needs this education and more sensitizations so that people can know it is normal. Let's end this stigma. Let us help that girl with Disabilities that can follow menstrual hygiene on their own. Let us help those women who are at mental facilities that can't help themselves. Let us help that girl in the rural areas that can't afford pads. No girl should be left behind. On the 9th of August I was privileged to be part of an event at UNZA organized by UNZA-YUNA and Copper Rose. The SHE MATTERS event was about Championing youth leadership and creating platforms to empower the next generation, which is us the youths. We had a talk with UNESCO’s Alice Saili, Chali Chisala Selisho of UNDP Zambia and Faith Kabeleka deputy chief executive officer of Copper Rose Zambia. Students from different universities were taught on “Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges.”

‎Here are a few take aways I thought to share with you:
‎-Know your boundaries
‎-Always try
‎-Do your work
‎- know your value and speak out, don't wait for "presence".
‎- master your craft.
‎-Learn more
‎- take risks
‎- find allies and sponsors
‎- embrace resilience
‎Like Miss Saili said,"Challenge the rules that silence you rewrite the script of what a leader should look like." You hold the power to change your life and the lives of others. Be the change you want to see. Copper Rose Zambia UNDP Zambia United Nations in Zambia UNESCO

And He has spoken. Let's learn to fight our fears, for most of our fears will prevent us from being the best versions of ourselves.

There was a time when I was incredibly fearful of speaking, whether to a small group or worse, a crowd. As an insecure and awkward kid, I had a burning desire to be significant and make a meaningful contribution to my society. That is when I began my journey to overcome my fears and step up with conviction.

Regardless of who you are, where you're from, or the limitations you think you have. Know that you are more capable than you know and that there's a version of you inside that your future self will be grateful for.

Trust God. Trust the process.

YOUTH4ADAPTATION FORUM!!!!

‎ I honestly didn't know a lot about climate change adaptations and the steps the government has been and is taking towards adaptation plans. I was happy and glad to be part of the first ever Youth for adaptation forum held in Zambia before the NAP expo 2025. I'm honoured to be an ambassador of change and an ambassador that will carry the light shone on adaptation for climate change to others.

‎ Adaptation is a need and a necessity. Whether we like it or not we need to adapt to the changing environment for a better future, for better lives.

‎ Everyone is called to take part in this, it doesn't matter where you are from or who you are. Let your innovations and sincerity improve the environment around you. The world is fast changing and as such we need to change with it.

‎This was an event held by Global center for adaptation in partnership with Inclusive education for sustainable development. In attendance we had the honourable minister Mike Mponsha Ministry of green economy and Munali MP as the guest of Honor. Deputy vice chancellor UNZA , Charles Nhemachena regional director for Africa, European Union ambassador representative, Mr Geoffrey Chomba UN representative and the Dean of students for Education at UNZA.

‎ This was to support SDG 13. This has changed my view on Climate change. There's more than the eye can meet and every sector is affected by it in some way.‎We had the opportunity to meet people from all the provinces, different sectors and different countries and share views on climate change adaptation.

BOLA NI 90!!!!!

Remember that God's timing is the best. What might look like a bad situation today won't always stay that way. God does not forsake his own at all.

Remember not to be pressured by the things or happenings or people around you.

You will marry at your own time, do not end up marrying the wrong person. You will pass your exams just keep trying. Do not end up being a GBV victim because your friends are all in relationships. Do not settle for less because you are told to do so. Your business will be successful just keep trying until you get the hang of it, ROME WASN'T BUILT IN ONE DAY.

Your life is moving at its own pace don't compare your timeline with someone else's. Until your life ends, keep trying.

‎I am so excited!!😊
‎Yesterday I was invited to a UN watch party for the UN Secretary General's address on Climate change.‎Seizing the moment of opportunity for a new energy of error that will change economy, climate and sustainable development benefits.

‎ The world is our home and as such we must look for better ways to treat it. Act in those better ways and ensure the environment is kept well.

‎ Being a member of Levy -YUNA has been an awesome experience and I look forward to many more opportunities.

I was invited to a student Indaba, that was themed"Beyond Pads: Advocating for Comprehensive Menstrual Health Policies in Zambian Schools and Communities." This was held on 26th June, 2025 by Girl Zone Empowerment

It was an informative, fun and happy moment. It included both males and females from various universities. I loved the fact that men were included in this Indaba, so we can hear out their views and they can learn more.

The Guest speaker was Bertha Phiri (Project officer- Sports for Development at NOWSPAR Women In Sport , who shared with us what they do and the struggles that females are facing in sport because of their menstrual cycles. We learnt most schools do not have the provision for girls doing sports while on their me**es. " Normalize conversations around pads and me**es" she said. It gives a sense of confidence when more policies have been put in and when people understand what's going on.

It brought together various universities as panelists, Levy Mwanawasa medical University (presented by Scofiel Mulinda, Head of Communication and Media, NACOSU, and Levyuna President and Miyanda Kambikambi, (Medicine & Surgery student), the University of Zambia (presented by Charles Mwenya, the President School of Health Sciences and Trisha Moonga (Girl Zone Associate, UNZA student), and ZCAS (presented by Musole Masuba, Girl Zone Associate), Emily Mental health specialists. We dove deep into the realities of period poverty and crafted actionable policies, including:

‎* Tax exemptions or subsidies on menstrual products to make them more affordable.
‎* Free distribution programs in schools and communities.
‎* Investing in sanitation facilities with private stalls, water, and disposal options.
‎* Comprehensive menstrual health education including the boys, men in schools and communities.
‎* Raising awareness to reduce stigma and promote open conversations.

‎* Integrating period pads into health insurance as a comprehensive health policy for all girls and women would ensure accessible menstrual hygiene and promote overall well-being.

I was privileged to be part of the protocol team of the Zambian youth conference that was held this Sunday Hosted by Lesa Jr Lesa and Franklin Nkhowani . Under the theme accelerating innovation for transformative leadership.
I loved to see the turnout of so many youths and the number of people that took the time out of their busy schedules to show up for the youths.
Dr Kabani, Mr Mushota, Dr Choolwe, Mr Bwanga showed up to support the event and to speak to the youth.
We were encouraged and taught many things. We were shown different aspects of leadership and a whole new meaning of what transformative leadership is .
I'd like to thank the hosts Dr Lesa Lesa and Coach Franklin Nkhowani for hosting such an event for youths. An event that was used to shape the mindsets of young leaders and to give them hope of the future.
It was really an amazing event that I enjoyed and I loved the interactions.

OFFER OF CONDOLENCES
May we invoke the spirit of"One Zambia, One Nation" May we appreciate the leadership, sacrifice and Love that he had for his country Zambia. He was jovial, passionate, patriotic and a good man at heart.
He will forever be loved and cherished. And be Remembered as Adada, a Father. My prayers and love goes out to the bereaved and the Nation at Large.May the Lord comfort you and give you strength.
Let's mourn him in a peaceful and respectable way. As we remember the cherished moments, the laughter, the man he was and his Legacy.
His Legacy will go on even in his death.
