Dear Mama,
You are doing the best you can, and that is enough.
It’s okay to feel overwhelmed today.
You’re not failing—you’re carrying a lot, and you’re still here, still trying.
Pause for a moment. Breathe. You matter too. 🌸

Your body is not an inconvenience.
It carries your strength, your work, your motherhood, and your dreams.
Care for it with kindness.”

Part of that kindness is understanding what threatens your health without fear.
Cervical cancer is one of those conditions that develops quietly over many years, which makes awareness so important.

How cervical cancer develops:

It doesn’t happen suddenly.
Most cases begin with a persistent high-risk HPV infection, which slowly causes abnormal changes in the cervix.

✨ What’s important to know:
• It takes 15–20 years for these abnormal cells to become cancer.
• In women with weakened immunity (such as untreated HIV), this can happen much faster—5–10 years.

Factors that increase the risk of progression:
• Type of HPV
• Low immunity
• Other STIs
• Young age at first pregnancy
• Having many births
• Smoking

Your body does so much for you.
Caring for it is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

What is cervical cancer?

Cervical cancer starts in the cells of the cervix — the small opening between the uterus and the va**na.
Most cases develop slowly over several years, often because of a long-standing infection with high-risk Human Papillomavirus.

Here’s one truth you must know:
Zambia has one of the highest cervical cancer rates in the world, and it remains
the most common cancer affecting Zambian women.

Many women only discover it when it’s already advanced — not because they ignored their health, but because early cervical changes rarely show symptoms.

The hopeful part is this:
cervical cancer is highly treatable when it’s caught early, and many serious complications can be avoided with timely care.

Your health deserves your attention, and this knowledge is a simple but powerful step in the right direction.

🌸 LIVING WITH INTENTION 🌸

Living with intention means refusing to drift through life in survival mode.
It’s choosing presence over hurry, alignment over approval, and purpose over noise.

Guard your inner space.
Not everything deserves your attention, and not everyone is meant to walk your path.

And if you ever want to know what truly owns your heart, don’t study your words—Study where your time goes.
Your daily choices quietly reveal your deepest priorities.

🌸 Welcome !🌸

I am so glad you are here 💜. This page was born out of a passion for women’s health and a deep belief that every woman deserves a safe space to learn, heal, and thrive.

As a doctor and a woman, I have seen the joys and struggles that come with every stage of life—from girlhood to motherhood and beyond. Too often, women’s health is spoken about only in whispers or overlooked until problems become too heavy to carry alone. Here, we change that.

On this page, you can expect:
✨ Honest conversations about women’s health and wellness
✨ Guidance on maternal and reproductive care
✨ Stories of strength, resilience, and growth
✨ Practical tips for everyday well-being

This is more than just a page—it’s a community. A place where knowledge meets compassion and where your story matters.

Because when women bloom, families, communities, and nations flourish. 🌱

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Together, we are helping women bloom, one story at a time.

With love,
Dr. Drey 🌸
