Note:
A foreign national (Parents) whose child was born in Zambia but with a passport from the country of origin of the parents should include the said child on the parent's permit eg employment or residence permit. By doing so, you legalise the child's stay in Zambia, therefore, any person with foreign ID must have an immigration status while in Zambia.

A Refugee can be employed by the Zambian Government, an NGO, or a Private organisation, and an Employment permit Will Be Issued provided all the documents are in place. The following documents will be required:
Vitae
1. Contract of Employment from the employing institution
2. Cover letter from the Commissioner for Refugees
3. ID or Refugee card from the Commissioner for Refugees (White, Orange cards, etc)
4. Cover letter from Applicant (Employing Institution) to the Director General of Immigration
5. Police Clearance, which has to be six months or less
6. Written explanation or succession plan
7. Academic qualifications
8. Curriculum Vitae, and
9. Passport-size photo.
