Pre-eclampsia is raised blood pressure at 20 weeks of gestation age with presence of protein in urine and resolves within 12 weeks after delivery.
It is classified in mild and severe preeclampsia.
Mild preeclampsia ,the management is conservative but in severe , it is emergency management
Steps of management in severe preeclampsia: - admission of the patient,
- prevent convulsions by giving MgSO4,
- control of Blood pressure with antihypertensive drugs ,
- deliver despite the gestational age .
