*2 Kings 13 Reading*

14 *Now Elisha had been suffering from the illness from which he died.*
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
πŸ‘‰One would wonder why the one who caused many to be blessed, healed and resurrect was suffering from an illness that caused him to die. Was God still with him?
πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
20 *Elisha died and was buried.*
Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. 21 *Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.*
πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†
Just before he died, he demonstrated the presence of God to the King of Israel.
πŸ‘‰Even in his death, Elisha's bones were still anointed to bless.
πŸ‘‰ Your Life's natural situation may not always be the depiction of how God is dealing with you. God was with Elisha even to his bones in the grave.
πŸ™ May the Spirit that was on Elisha be multiplied upon us more in these last days on us.

*1 Samuel 31 Reading*

2 The *Philistines were in hot pursuit of Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons* Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua. 3 *The fighting grew fierce around Saul,* and when the archers overtook him, *they wounded him critically.* 4 *Saul said to his armor-bearer, β€œDraw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me.”*
But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so *Saul took his own sword and fell on it.* 5 When the armor-bearer saw that *Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him.* 6 So Saul and his three sons and his armor-bearer *and all his men died together that same day*
πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†
😭The sad ending of the book. Saul, his sons and his men are dead in the battle.
πŸ‘‰Saul killed himself and so did his armor-bearer.
πŸ“ŒNotice how close Saul and his sons were bonded together till death.
πŸ“ŒNote also how the armor bearer respected the king that he would not raise the sword to finish his life.
πŸ“ŒNote also the loyalt unto death the family was.
πŸ™ ```How I pray that we may be loyal to Jesus unto death so that we may receive a crown of life (see Rev 2:10c)```
*Good morning*

1 Samuel 30 reading

3 *When David and his men reached Ziklag,* they found it *destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.*
4 *So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep.*
5 David’s two wives had been capturedβ€”Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel.

8 and *David inquired of the Lord,* β€œShall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?”

β€œPursue them,” he answered. *β€œYou will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.”*
18 *David recovered everything* the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives.
19 *Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken.* David brought everything back.
πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―
_A quick flash back to the previous chapter._ πŸ‘‰The Philistines Army commanders forced David and his men back out of the battle and humbly in peace he went. When he reached back home, he then realized that actually the Lord used those to direct David to his real battle that needed him indeed.
*Here is the point:* πŸ‘‰Some paths we walk, some situations we encounter, some things that happen to us if we can humbly allow God's will to take place, we would find out that all things indeed work together for good.
πŸ‘‰Wait upon God, be in God's way, you will appreciate why certain things have to happen the way they have to happen.
⏳David ended up saving his men and women.

*Good morning*

*1 Samuel 29 reading*

3 *The commanders of the Philistines asked,* β€œWhat about these Hebrews?”

Achish replied, *β€œIs this not David, who was an officer of Saul king of Israel?* He has already been with me for over a year, and from the day he left Saul until now, *I have found no fault in him.”*
4 But the Philistine commanders were angry with Achish and said, *β€œSend the man back,* that he may return to the place you assigned him. *He must not go with us into battle,* or he will turn against us during the fighting. How better could he regain his master’s favor than by taking the heads of our own men?
7 *Now turn back and go in peace;* do nothing to displease the Philistine rulers.
11 *So David and his men got up early in the morning to go back to the land of the Philistines,* and the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™πŸ”™
```Even as we comes close to the end of the book,```
πŸ‘‰David continues to be a man with _a heart of gold._
πŸ‘‰Without persistence, he left and went back.
πŸ‘‰What an amazing act of loyalt and humility.
*Prayer:* _God help me to be like David in the way i relate with others around in loyalt to friendship and humilty in service._
*Good morning*
THE SPREAD OF UNBELIEF
Revelation 12
This chapter provides a general overview of this on going controversy, which
1. Began in heaven with the rebellion of Lucifer and one third of the heavenly angels.
2. Culminated with Christ's decisive victory at the cross.
3. And still continues against God's end -time remnant people.
This was the war of ideas or thoughts, Lucifer's accusations against God.
Reflecting on the beginning of this controversy, Ellen G. White explains that "God in His great mercy bore long with Lucifer. He was not immediately degraded from his exalted station when he first indulged the spirit of discontent, nor even when he began to present his false claims before the loyal angels. Long was he retained in heaven. Again and again he was offered pardon on condition of repentance and submission". GC pp 495,496.
What are ways in which we can see the reality of this battle been played out on the earth?
THE PRICE OF PRIDE
Isaiah 14:12-15
In the Bible, the city of Babylon stands for a power in direct opposition to God and His Kingdom , and the king of Babylon (with special allusion to Nebuchadnezzar) becomes a symbol of Pride and Arrogance (Daniel 2:37-38). Challenging God's revelation, the king made an image entirely of gold - a symbol that his Kingdom would last forever and even required everyone to worship it ( Daniel 3).
As in the case of the king of Tyre ( Ezekiel 28:12 -19) the king of Babylon also became a symbol of Lucifer. Hence Isaiah 14:3-11 describes the fall of the haughty and oppressive king of Babylon. Then Isaiah 14:12-15 , moves from the historical realm to the heavenly courts and highlights that a similar Proud and Arrogant Spirit generated the original Fall of Lucifer.
How does keeping the cross before us prevent us from falling into such a trap?
