Join us, the Youthful AMR Ambassadors in Zambia (YAMRAZ) & the Scientific Initiatives for a Healthy and Developed Zambia (SiHDZ) Team/s in Congratulating Ms. Mona Jempa for being selected as the 2025 Young Ambassador for the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) under their young ambassador program. Therefore, the good news is that, our team will be hosting honorable Ms. Jempa, the 2025 Young Ambassador for ASM to Zambia and we will be helping her honor to plan, budget as well as implement her as well as ASM's 2025 work plan in Zambia.
We call upon our membership, partners, stakeholders and the public at large to be on the lookout for more activities this year.
Everyone should anticipate a year packed with activities aimed at promoting Microbiology as a field for both students and professionals in microbiology and other related medical and natural sciences, Antimicrobial Stewardship activities, Scientific Gatherings and workshops, Writing Competitions, Social Media, TV, Radio and Community Engagement programs, Research and Development (R&D) and Educational Programs and many more outreach programs.
YAMRAZ is the first ever and fastest growing Youth movement on Antimicrobial Resistance which has been promoting the prudent use of Antimicrobials and other drugs. YAMRAZ is an affiliate of SiHDZ, aka ScienScientific initiatives ZambiaiScientific initiatives ZambiaiScientific initiatives Zambiae Scientific Initiatives for a Healthy and Developed Zambia (SiHDZ) is a non profit , non governmental organization registered under the NGO Act No. 16 of 2009 of the Laws of Zambia, legally mandated to operate in the two major thematic areas; Community Health & Development where we "improve outcomes to foster healthy & developed communities".
