Campaign against child sexual violence in homes and community spaces in Lusaka Lilanda Compound

Today YOCUPA 7ASIDE-ASHAGs commemorated World AIDS Day in Lilanda Compound of Lusaka with emphasis on how child sexual abuse and violence can contribute towards the spread of the HIV . During the questions and answers session, the community said that just yesterday, a step father was found defiling a 12 years old step daughter. The girl said the step father has been having canal knowledge with her for 5 times now. When the community wanted to arrest the man and take him to police, the junk from Lilanda protected him after he bribed.

YOCUPA 7ASIDE-ASHAGs took it up and reported the matter to Matero Police Station. While reporting at Matero police, we were told that another man in Matero was found defiling a 2 years old biological child. The police are doing their work on the matter.
