KABWE TEACHER MURD£R£D IN COLD BL00D, POLICE CONFIRM

Police in Central Province have confirmed the murd£r of a teacher from Caritas Convent School, Mr. Brighton Tembo, aged 44, who succumbed to injuries sustained during an attack on Jameson Street in Kabwe.

An official Police statement issued by Central Province Police Commissioner Charity Munganga provided details of the incident, which occurred on November 30th, 2024, at approximately 01:50 hours.

In her statement Commissioner Munganga stated that on 08/12/24 at 12:00 hours, officers at Kabwe Central Police received a report that a teacher from Caritas Convent School identified as Mr Brighton Tembo, was murd£r£d by unknown people.

Mr. Tembo, who was returning home from a nightclub in the Central Business District, was attacked by two unknown individuals who stabb£d him in the stomach with a screwdriver and stole his mobile phone. The victim sustained three st0mach wounds but did not report the incident to the police or seek immediate medical attention, instead he went home to rest.

Later that day, at around 14:00 hours, a female friend visiting Mr. Tembo found him lying in a pool of bl00d inside his house. Upon narrating the events to her, she took him to Kabwe Central Police Station, where a medical report form was issued, and he was subsequently taken to Kabwe Central Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Mr. Tembo was recuperating at home but suffered complications, including vomiting and constipation, on Thursday, December 5, 2024. He was rushed back to Kabwe Central Hospital, where he died two days later on Saturday, December 7, at approximately 16:30 hours.

The police have launched a manhunt and a full investigation into the case and are appealing to the public for information that could lead to the arrest of the attackers. The body of the deceased is currently at Kabwe Central Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
