Before he became union president, he was in the debate team, he and his team made history by becoming the first students to win a debate trophy, bringing prestige and honor to the student and the college at large. Biography of the Former Union President 2016 Intake – Solwezi College of Nursing
Kennedy Lombe ruled the college from 2018 to 2019

The former Union President of Solwezi College of Nursing will always be remembered as a passionate leader whose love for sports shaped his time in office. Unlike many who focus on politics or personal ambition, his heart was firmly set on the field of play. Football was not just a game to himβ€”it was a tool for unity, health, and student development.

During his tenure, he championed the idea that student welfare extended beyond classrooms and clinical practice. He believed that physical fitness and recreation were just as important as academic excellence in producing well-rounded nurses. This conviction drove his greatest achievement: pushing for the establishment of a football pitch at the college.

Through determination and teamwork, he mobilized students, engaged stakeholders, and worked tirelessly until the dream of having a proper sports ground became a reality. Today, that pitch stands not only as a recreational space but also as a symbol of his leadership, vision, and legacy.

Though his love was sports, his impact went far beyond the game. He inspired many with his dedication to improving student life and left behind a legacy that continues to shape the college community.
In his time, Seniority went down because he loved to mingle with his juniors.
