Having worked within dermatology since 2004, I am passionate about my profession, I am active through areas of research, education, and advocacy, I lecture often at national and international conferences. I am Key Opinion Leader for laser devices, the Past-President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group, Educational Supervisor for the Mohs Micrographic Surgery UK training programme, Course Lead for University of Manchester course in Non-Surgical Injectable Treatments, and I sit as the Trustee for the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority and on the Executive committee of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners. I have authored multiple book chapters, many peer reviewed publications and my book “Pocket tutor of dermatology” is now into its Second Edition.
As a consultant dermatologist and dermatological surgeon, I provide high-quality care and interventional treatments for patients with sun-damaged skin and skin cancer, including early identification with 360 Mole mapping and Reflectance Confocal microscopy and cosmetic. We established the UK’s first reflectance confocal microscopy unit to better the healthcare of those with Xeroderma pigmentosum and lentigo maligna.
Public Education is of the utmost importance to me and as such I host the television series, The Bad Skin Clinic and Save My Skin now into their seventh series, and shown in more than 100 countries around the world. I am the host and guest of various podcasts and educate through my social media platform .
Understanding the importance of optimising my patients everyday skin health to get their best skin possible is my daily mission, I know that with the correct skin routine and prescriptive formulas that skin game-changing is truly possible.
