BAD BREATH

Bad breath, also called halitosis, can be embarrassing and in some cases may even cause anxiety.

SYMPTOMS
Bad breath odors vary, depending on the source or the underlying cause. Some people worry too much about their breath even though they have little or no mouth odor, while others have bad breath and don't know it. Because it's difficult to assess how your own breath smells, ask a close friend or relative to confirm your bad-breath questions

CAUSES

Most bad breath starts in your mouth, and there are many possible causes. They include:

✓Food. The breakdown of food particles in and around your teeth can increase bacteria and cause a foul odor. Eating certain foods, such as onions, garlic, and other vegetables and spices, also can cause bad breath. After you digest these foods, they enter your bloodstream, are carried to your lungs and affect your breath.

✓To***co products. Smoking causes its own unpleasant mouth odor. Smokers and oral to***co users are also more likely to have gum disease, another source of bad breath.

✓Poor dental hygiene. If you don't brush and floss daily, food particles remain in your mouth, causing bad breath. A colorless, sticky film of bacteria forms on your teeth and if not brushed away, plaque can irritate your gums and eventually form plaque-filled pockets between your teeth and gums
The uneven surface of the tongue also can trap bacteria that produce odors. And dentures that aren't cleaned regularly or don't fit properly can harbor odor-causing bacteria and food particles.

✓Dry mouth. Saliva helps cleanse your mouth, removing particles that may cause bad odors. A condition called dry mouth — also known as xerostomia — can contribute to bad breath because production of saliva is decreased. Dry mouth naturally occurs during sleep, leading to "morning breath," and is made worse if you sleep with your mouth open. Some medications can lead to a chronic dry mouth, as can a problem with your salivary glands and some diseases.

✓Infections in your mouth. Bad breath can be caused by surgical wounds after oral surgery, such as tooth removal, or as a result of tooth decay, gum disease or mouth sores.
Other mouth, nose and throat conditions. Bad breath can occasionally stem from small stones that form in the tonsils and are covered with bacteria that produce odorous chemicals. Infections or chronic inflammation in the nose, sinuses or throat, which can contribute to postnasal drip, also can cause bad breath.

✓Medications. Some medications can indirectly produce badt breath by contributing to dry mouth. Others can be broken down in the body to release chemicals that can be carried on your breath.

✓Other causes. Diseases, such as some cancers, and conditions such as metabolic disorders, can cause a distinctive breath odor as a result of chemicals they produce.

LIFESTYLE AND HOME REMEDIES

To reduce or prevent bad breath:

✓Brush your teeth after you eat. Keep a toothbrush at work to use after eating. Brush using a fluoride-containing toothpaste at least twice a day, especially after meals. Toothpaste with antibacterial properties has been shown to reduce bad breath odors.

✓Floss at least once a day. Proper flossing removes food particles and plaque from between your teeth, helping to control bad breath.

✓Brush your tongue. Your tongue harbors bacteria, so carefully brushing it may help reduce odors. People who have a coated tongue from a significant overgrowth of bacteria (from smoking or dry mouth, for example) may benefit from using a tongue scraper. Or use a toothbrush that has a built-in tongue cleaner.

✓Clean your dentures or dental appliances. If you wear a bridge or a partial or complete denture, clean it thoroughly at least once a day or as directed by your dentist. If you have a dental retainer or mouth guard, clean it each time before you put it in your mouth. Your dentist can recommend the best cleaning product.

✓Avoid dry mouth. To keep your mouth moist, avoid to***co and drink plenty of water — not coffee, soft drinks or alcohol, which can lead to a drier mouth. Chew gum or suck on candy — preferably sugarless — to stimulate saliva. If you have chronic dry mouth, your dentist or physician may prescribe an artificial saliva preparation or an oral medication that stimulates the flow of saliva.

✓Adjust your diet. Avoid food and beverages that can cause bad breath. Avoid sticky, sugary foods.

✓Regularly get a new toothbrush. Change your toothbrush when it becomes frayed, about every three to four months, and choose a soft-bristled toothbrush.
Schedule regular dental °checkups.

‼️Let's take a closer look at what is Diabetes and Heart Rhythmias...

🛑DIABETES 🛑

Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of diseases that affect how your body uses blood sugar (glucose). Glucose is vital to your health because it's an important source of energy for the cells that make up your muscles and tissues. It's also your brain's main source of fuel.

If you have diabetes, no matter what type, it means you have too much glucose in your blood, although the causes may differ. Too much glucose can lead to serious health problems.

📛HEART RHYTHMIAS
Heart rhythm problems (heart arrhythmias) occur when the electrical impulses that coordinate your heartbeats don't work properly, causing your heart to beat too fast, too slow or irregularly.

Heart arrhythmias (uh-RITH-me-uhs) may feel like a fluttering or racing heart and may be harmless. However, some heart arrhythmias may cause bothersome — sometimes even life-threatening — signs and symptoms.

Heart arrhythmia treatment can often control or eliminate fast or irregular heartbeats. In addition, because troublesome heart arrhythmias are often made worse — or are even caused — by a weak or damaged heart, you may be able to reduce your arrhythmia risk by adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle.

📛SYMPTOMS
♨️A fluttering in your chest
♨️A racing heartbeat (tachycardia)
♨️A slow heartbeat (bradycardia)
♨️Chest pain
♨️Shortness of breath
♨️Lightheadedness
♨️Dizziness
♨️Fainting (syncope) or near fainting
https://wa.me/263789824426text=Greetings+need+solution+treatment

📛CAUSES
♨️A heart attack that's occurring right now
♨️Scarring of heart tissue from a prior heart attack
♨️Changes to your heart's structure, such as from cardiomyopathy
♨️Blocked arteries in your heart (coronary artery disease)
♨️High blood pressure
♨️Diabetes
♨️Overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism)
♨️Underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism)
♨️Smoking
♨️Drinking too much alcohol or caffeine
♨️Drug abuse
♨️Stress
♨️Certain prescription medications
♨️Certain dietary supplements and herbal treatments
♨️Electrical shock
♨️Air pollution

📛RISK FACTORS
♨️Coronary artery disease, other heart problems and previous heart surgery. Narrowed heart arteries, a heart attack, abnormal heart valves, prior heart surgery, heart failure, cardiomyopathy and other heart damage are risk factors for almost any kind of arrhythmia.
♨️High blood pressure. This increases your risk of developing coronary artery disease. It may also cause the walls of your left ventricle to become stiff and thick, which can change how electrical impulses travel through your heart.
♨️Conge***al heart disease. Being born with a heart abnormality may affect your heart's rhythm.
♨️Thyroid problems. Having an overactive or underactive thyroid gland can raise your risk for arrhythmias.
♨️Drugs and supplements. Certain over-the-counter cough and cold medicines and certain prescription drugs may contribute to arrhythmia development.
https://wa.me/263789824426text=Greetings+need+solution+treatment
♨️Diabetes. Your risk of developing coronary artery disease and high blood pressure greatly increases with uncontrolled diabetes.
♨️Obstructive sleep apnea. This disorder, in which your breathing is interrupted during sleep, can increase your risk of bradycardia, atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias.
♨️Electrolyte imbalance. Substances in your blood called electrolytes — such as potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium — help trigger and conduct the electrical impulses in your heart. Electrolyte levels that are too high or too low can affect your heart's electrical impulses and contribute to arrhythmia development.
♨️Drinking too much alcohol. Drinking too much alcohol can affect the electrical impulses in your heart and can increase the chance of developing atrial fibrillation.
♨️Caffeine or ni****ne use. Caffeine, ni****ne and other stimulants can cause your heart to beat faster and may contribute to the development of more-serious arrhythmias. Illegal drugs, such as amphetamines and co***ne, may profoundly affect the heart and lead to many types of arrhythmias or to sudden death due to ventricular fibrillation..

Erectile dysfunctionis the inability to get and keep an er****on firm enough for s*x.

Having er****on trouble from time to time isn't necessarily a cause for concern. If erectile dysfunction is an ongoing issue, however, it can cause stress, affect your self-confidence and contribute to relationship problems. Problems getting or keeping an er****on also can be a sign of an underlying health condition that needs treatment and a risk factor for heart disease down the road.

If you're concerned about erectile dysfunction, talk to your doctor — even if you're embarrassed. Sometimes, treating an underlying condition is enough to reverse erectile dysfunction. In other cases, medications or other direct treatments might be needed.

SYMPTOMS
Erectile dysfunction symptoms might include persistent:

Trouble getting an er****on
Trouble keeping an er****on
Reduced s*xual desire

CAUSES
Male s*xual arousal is a complex process that involves the brain, hormones, emotions, nerves, muscles and blood vessels. Erectile dysfunction can result from a problem with any of these. Likewise, stress and mental health concerns can cause or worsen erectile dysfunction.

Sometimes a combination of physical and psychological issues causes erectile dysfunction. For instance, a minor physical condition that slows your s*xual response might cause anxiety about maintaining an er****on. The resulting anxiety can lead to or worsen erectile

: *Physical causes of erectile dysfunction*

In most cases, erectile dysfunction is caused by something physical. Common causes include:

✓Heart disease
Clogged blood vessels
✓High cholesterol
✓High blood pressure
✓Diabetes
✓Obesity
✓Metabolic syndrome — a condition involving increased blood pressure, high insulin levels, body fat around the waist and high cholesterol
✓Parkinson's disease
✓Multiple sclerosis
✓Peyronie's disease — development of scar tissue inside the p***s
✓Certain prescription medications
✓To***co use
✓Alcoholism and other forms of substance abuse
✓Sleep disorders
✓Treatments for prostate cancer or enlarged prostate
✓Surgeries or injuries that affect the pelvic area or spinal cord

*Psychological causes of erectile dysfunction*
The brain plays a key role in triggering the series of physical events that cause an er****on, starting with feelings of s*xual excitement. A number of things can interfere with s*xual feelings and cause or worsen erectile dysfunction. These include:

✓Depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions
✓Stress
✓Relationship problems due to stress, poor communication or other concerns

*RISK FACTORS*
As you get older, er****ons might take longer to develop and might not be as firm. You might need more direct touch to your p***s to get and keep an er****on. This might indicate underlying health conditions or be a result of taking medications

Various risk factors can contribute to erectile dysfunction, including:

✓Medical conditions, particularly diabetes or heart conditions
✓To***co use, which restricts blood flow to veins and arteries, can — over time— cause chronic health conditions that lead to erectile dysfunction
✓Being overweight, especially if you're obese
✓Certain medical treatments, such as prostate surgery or radiation treatment for cancer
✓Injuries, particularly if they damage the nerves or arteries that control er****ons
✓Medications, including antidepressants,
antihistamines and medications to treat high blood pressure, pain or prostate conditions
✓Psychological conditions, such as stress, anxiety or depression
✓Drug and alcohol use, especially if you're a long-term drug user or heavy drinker
✓Prolonged bicycling, which can compress nerves and affect blood flow to the p***s, may lead to temporary or permanent erectile dysfunction

*COMPLICATIONS*
Complications resulting from erectile dysfunction can include:

✓An unsatisfactory s*x life
✓Stress or anxiety
✓Embarrassment or low self-esteem
✓Relationship problems
✓The inability to get your partner pregnant

*LIFESTYLE AND HOME REMEDIES*
The best way to prevent erectile dysfunction is to make healthy lifestyle choices and to manage any existing health conditions. For example:

✓Work with your doctor/your health consultant to manage diabetes, heart disease or other chronic health conditions.
✓See your doctor/ health consultant for regular checkups and medical screening tests.
✓Stop smoking, limit or avoid alcohol, and don't use illegal drugs.
✓Exercise regularly.
Take steps to reduce stress.
✓Get help for anxiety, depression or other mental health concerns.

OVARIAN CYST

Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs or pockets within or on the surface of an o***y. Women have two ovaries — each about the size and shape of an almond — located on each side of the uterus. Eggs (ova) develop and mature in the ovaries and are released in monthly cycles during your childbearing years.

13/06/2023

ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM:

An abdominal aortic aneurysm is an enlarged area in the lower part of the aorta, the major blood vessel that supplies blood to the body. The aorta, about the thickness of a garden hose, runs from your heart through the center of your chest and abdomen. Because the aorta is the body's main supplier of blood, a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm can cause life-threatening bleeding.

Depending on the size and rate at which your abdominal aortic aneurysm is growing, treatment may vary from watchful waiting to emergency surgery. Once an abdominal aortic aneurysm is found, doctors will closely monitor it so that surgery can be planned if it's necessary. Emergency surgery for a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm can be risky.

SYMPTOMS^*
Abdominal aortic aneurysms often grow slowly and usually without symptoms, making them difficult to detect. Some aneurysms will never rupture. Many start small and stay small, although many expand over time. Others expand quickly. Predicting how fast an abdominal aortic aneurysm may enlarge is difficult.

As an abdominal aortic aneurysm enlarges, some people may notice:

●A pulsating feeling near the navel
●Deep, constant pain in your abdomen or on the side of your abdomen
●Back pain

CAUSES^*
Most aortic aneurysms occur in the part of your aorta that's in your abdomen. Although the exact cause of abdominal aortic aneurysms is unknown, a number of factors may play a role, including:

●To***co use. Cigarette smoking and other forms of to***co use appear to increase your risk of aortic aneurysms. In addition to the damaging effects that smoking causes directly to the arteries, smoking contributes to the buildup of fatty plaques in your arteries (atherosclerosis) and high blood pressure. Smoking can also cause your aneurysm to grow faster by further damaging your aorta.
●Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis). Atherosclerosis occurs when fat and other substances build up on the lining of a blood vessel, increasing your risk of an aneurysm.
●Infection in the aorta (vasculitis). In rare cases, abdominal aortic aneurysm may be caused by an infection or inflammation that weakens a section of the aortic wall.

RISK FACTORS^*
Abdominal aortic aneurysm risk factors include:

●Age. Abdominal aortic aneurysms occur most often in people age 65 and older.
●To***co use. To***co use is a strong risk factor for the development of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. The longer you've smoked or chewed to***co, the greater your risk.
●Atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis, the buildup of fat and other substances that can damage the lining of a blood vessel, increases your risk of an aneurysm.
●Being male. Men develop abdominal aortic aneurysms much more often than women do.
●Family history. People who have a family history of abdominal aortic aneurysm are at increased risk of having the condition. People who have a family history of aneurysms tend to develop aneurysms at a younger age and are at higher risk of rupture.

When to see a doctor^*
You should see your doctor if you have any of the symptoms listed above.

Anyone age 60 and older who has risk factors for developing an abdominal aortic aneurysm, such as smoking or a family history of abdominal aortic aneurysm, should consider regular screening for the condition. Because being male and smoking significantly increase the risk of abdominal aortic aneurysm, men ages 65 to 75 who have ever smoked ci******es should have a one-time screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm using abdominal ultrasound.

If you have a family history of abdominal aortic aneurysm, your doctor may recommend an ultrasound exam to screen for the condition.

12/06/2023

ACHALASIA:

Achalasia is a rare disorder that makes it difficult for food and liquid to pass from the swallowing tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus) into your stomach.

Achalasia occurs when nerves in the esophagus become damaged. As a result, the esophagus becomes paralyzed and dilated over time and eventually loses the ability to squeeze food down into the stomach. Food then collects in the esophagus, sometimes fermenting and washing back up into the mouth, which can taste bitter. Some people mistake this for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). However, in achalasia the food is coming from the esophagus, whereas in GERD the material comes from the stomach

Symptoms^*
Achalasia symptoms generally appear gradually and worsen over time. Signs and symptoms may include:

●Inability to swallow (dysphagia), which may feel like food or drink is stuck in your throat
●Regurgitating food or saliva
●Heartburn
●Belching
●Chest pain that comes and goes
●Coughing at night
●Pneumonia (from aspiration of food into the lungs)
●Weight loss
●Vomiting

Causes^*
The exact cause of achalasia is poorly understood. Researchers suspect it may be caused by a loss of nerve cells in the esophagus. There are theories about what causes this, but viral infection or autoimmune responses have been suspected. Very rarely, achalasia may be caused by an inherited genetic disorder or infection.

(Human Papillomavirus)H.P.V

HPV infection is a viral infection that commonly causes skin or mucous membrane growths (warts). There are more than 100 varieties of human papillomavirus (HPV). Some types of HPV infection cause warts, and some can cause different types of cancer .Most HPV infections don't lead to cancer. But some types of ge***al HPV can cause cancer of the lower part of the uterus that connects to the va**na (cervix). Other types of cancers, including cancers of the a**s, p***s, va**na, v***a and back of the throat (oropharyngeal), have been linked to HPV infection.

These infections are often transmitted s*xually or through other skin-to-skin contact. Vaccines can help protect against the strains of HPV most likely to cause ge***al warts or cervical cancer.

In most cases, your body's immune system defeats an HPV infection before it creates warts. When warts do appear, they vary in appearance depending on which kind of HPV is involved:

Ge***al warts. These appear as flat lesions, small cauliflower-like bumps or tiny stemlike protrusions. In women, ge***al warts appear mostly on the v***a but can also occur near the a**s, on the cervix or in the va**na.

In men, ge***al warts appear on the p***s and sc***um or around the a**s. Ge***al warts rarely cause discomfort or pain, though they may itch or feel tender.

Common warts. Common warts appear as rough, raised bumps and usually occur on the hands and fingers. In most cases, common warts are simply unsightly, but they can also be painful or susceptible to injury or bleeding.
Plantar warts. Plantar warts are hard, grainy growths that usually appear on the heels or balls of your feet. These warts might cause discomfort.
Flat warts. Flat warts are flat-topped, slightly raised lesions. They can appear anywhere, but children usually get them on the face and men tend to get them in the beard area. Women tend to get them on the legs.

Symptoms ^*

●Common warts
●Plantar warts
●Flat warts
●Female ge***al warts
●Male ge***al warts

Cervical cancer^*
Nearly all cervical cancers are caused by HPV infections, but cervical cancer may take 20 years or longer to develop after an HPV infection. The HPV infection and early cervical cancer typically don't cause noticeable symptoms. Getting vaccinated against HPV infection is your best protection from cervical cancer.

Because early cervical cancer doesn't cause symptoms, it's vital that women have regular screening tests to detect any precancerous changes in the cervix that might lead to cancer. Current guidelines recommend that women ages 21 to 29 have a Pap test every three years.

Women ages 30 to 65 are advised to continue having a Pap test every three years, or every five years if they also get the HPV DNA test at the same time. Women over 65 can stop testing if they've had three normal Pap tests in a row, or two HPV DNA and Pap tests with no abnormal results.

Causes^*
HPV infection occurs when the virus enters your body, usually through a cut, abrasion or small tear in your skin. The virus is transferred primarily by skin-to-skin contact.

Ge***al HPV infections are contracted through s*xual in*******se, a**l s*x and other skin-to-skin contact in the ge***al region. Some HPV infections that result in oral or upper respiratory lesions are contracted through oral s*x.

If you're pregnant and have an HPV infection with ge***al warts, it's possible your baby may get the infection. Rarely, the infection may cause a noncancerous growth in the baby's voice box (larynx).

Warts are contagious. They can spread through direct contact with a wart. Warts can also spread when someone touches something that already touched a wart.

Risk factors^*
HPV infections are common. Risk factors for HPV infection include:

●Number of s*xual partners. The more s*xual partners you have, the more likely you are to contract a ge***al HPV infection. Having s*x with a partner who has had multiple s*x partners also increases your risk.
●Age. Common warts occur mostly in children. Ge***al warts occur most often in adolescents and young adults.
●Weakened immune systems. People who have weakened immune systems are at greater risk of HPV infections. Immune systems can be weakened by HIV/AIDS or by immune system-suppressing drugs used after organ transplants.
●Damaged skin. Areas of skin that have been punctured or opened are more prone to develop common warts.
●Personal contact. Touching someone's warts or not wearing protection before contacting surfaces that have been exposed to HPV — such as public showers or swimming pools — might increase your risk of HPV infection.

When to see a doctor/Health Consultant ^*
If you or your child has warts of any kind that cause embarrassment, discomfort or pain, seek advice from your doctor or health Consultant

10/06/2023

RUBELLA:

Rubella is a contagious viral infection best known by its distinctive red rash. It's also called German measles or three-day measles. This infection may cause mild or no symptoms in most people. However, it can cause serious problems for unborn babies whose mothers become infected during pregnancy

Rubella isn't the same as measles, but the two illnesses share some signs and symptoms, such as the red rash. Rubella is caused by a different virus than measles, and rubella isn't as infectious or as severe as measles.

The measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine is safe and highly effective in preventing rubella. The vaccine provides lifelong protection against rubella.

In many countries, rubella infection is rare or even nonexistent. However, because the vaccine isn't used everywhere, the virus still causes serious problems for babies whose mothers are infected during pregnancy

Symptoms^*
The signs and symptoms of rubella are often difficult to notice, especially in children. Signs and symptoms generally appear between two and three weeks after exposure to the virus. They usually last about 1 to 5 days and may include:

●Mild fever of 102 F (38.9 C) or lower
●Headache
●Stuffy or runny nose
●Red, itchy eyes
●Enlarged, tender lymph nodes at the base of the skull, the back of the neck and behind the ears
●A fine, pink rash that begins on the face and quickly spreads to the trunk and then the arms and legs, before disappearing in the same order
●Aching joints, especially in young women

Causes^*
Rubella is caused by a virus that's passed from person to person. It can spread when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It can also spread by direct contact with infected mucus from the nose and throat. It can also be passed on from pregnant women to their unborn children through the bloodstream.

A person who has been infected with the virus that causes rubella is contagious for about one week before the onset of the rash until about one week after the rash disappears. An infected person can spread the illness before the person realizes he or she has it.

Rubella is rare in many countries because most children are vaccinated against the infection at an early age. In some parts of the world, the virus is still active. This is something to consider before going abroad, especially if you're pregnant.

Once you've had the disease, you're usually permanently immune

When to see a doctor/Your Health Consultant ^*
Contact your health care provider if you think you or your child may have been exposed to rubella or if you notice the signs or symptoms that may be rubella.

If you're considering getting pregnant, check your vaccination record to make sure you've received your MMR vaccine. If you're pregnant and you develop rubella, especially during the first trimester, the virus can cause death or serious birth defects in the developing fetus. Rubella during pregnancy is the most common cause of conge***al deafness. It's best to be protected against rubella before pregnancy.

If you're pregnant, you'll likely undergo a routine screening for immunity to rubella. But if you've never received the vaccine and you think you might have been exposed to rubella, contact your health care provider immediately. A blood test might confirm that you're already immune.
