An important part of feeding a baby is burping. Burping helps to get rid of some of the air that babies tend to swallow during feeding. Not being burped often and swallowing too much air can make a baby spit up, or seem cranky or gassy.

Here are the different ways on how you should burp your baby.

1) Over-the-shoulder. A commonly practised approach is to hold your baby's stomach against your chest and softly pat their back.

2)Lay your baby on your lap.....Lay The Baby On Their Belly On Your Lap · Rest your baby face down across your lap, with their belly on one leg and head on the other. · Use one hand to rub

3) lying on a nursing pillow.
After breastfeeding, place your baby on your pillow supporting the chin and chest ,Rub or pat the back with your hand....use repeated, gentle pats on your baby's back.....

Dear Pregnant Woman, Please Stop Believing These 10 Myths! 😳

So many women suffer in pregnancy because of wrong advice passed down from aunties, neighbors, and village people 😅
Let’s clear up some popular myths that can confuse—or even harm—you and your baby 👇

1️⃣ “Don’t eat eggs, your baby will grow teeth in the womb”
Lie! Eggs are rich in protein and help your baby grow well. Eat boiled eggs without guilt, abeg!

2️⃣ “If you drink cold water, your baby will have pneumonia”
Cold drinks don’t cause sickness in the womb. Drink what your body tolerates—but avoid excess sugary sodas.

3️⃣ “S£x during pregnancy will harm the baby”
If you have a healthy pregnancy, s£x is safe. Baby is protected in the womb. Only avoid it if your doctor says so.

4️⃣ “You must not announce your pregnancy early—village people will attack”
While privacy is your right, silence out of fear is not wisdom. With or without announcement, what God covers is covered! 🙏

5️⃣ “Heartburn means your baby has hair”
Heartburn is due to hormones and stomach acid—not baby’s hairstyle 😅

6️⃣ “You must eat for two”
No o! You only need a little extra food. Overeating can lead to excessive weight gain and gestational diabetes.

7️⃣ “You must not bathe in the afternoon”
Please bathe when you feel hot. Cleanliness is more important than tradition.

8️⃣ “You can’t raise your hands—baby will be strangled by the cord”
Myth! The umbilical cord has nothing to do with you lifting your hands. Stretch freely.

9️⃣ “If you look too fine, you’re having a boy. If you're ugly, it’s a girl”
Na lie! Your baby’s gender is not tied to your beauty. You’re glowing, no matter the gender! 😍

🔟 “If you dream of fish, you're pregnant”
😂 Dream or no dream, only a pregnancy test or scan can confirm. Don’t rely on dreams alone o!

📢 Dear mama, always seek your information from medical professionals—not market women or old wives’ tales.

The placenta!!! Chevakuru😂😂shona can be funny at times😂
🌹🌹🌹
So what is it❔❔

This is a temporary organ which connects the foetus👶🚼to its mother🤰during pregnancy.

What is its role❔❔
The placenta carries a pivotal role to maintain pregnancy, pasina chevakuru, hapana nhumbu🤗
1. Respiration-mwana kana ari mudumbu haafemi nemhino👃, 😂😂I heard a certain woman saying ndikunzwa mwana achifema mudumbu imimika😅😅, the placenta carries oxygen from you kuendesa kumwana wako via the umbilical cord, inotora zvakare carbon dioxide from mwana to you😂so literally you breath for your child.
2. Transport🚂🚓Inotakurao chikafu kuendesa kumwana.
3. Storage🏪Inochengeta chikafu kunyanya glucose in form of glycogen, kana chakudiwa nemwana yoita supply.
4. Endocrine... Tongonzwa kuchichemwa hanzi hormones hormones hormones😂😂hanzi mapregnant hormones akundichemedza, chevakuru chinobuditsao mahormones anoti oestrogen, progesterone, hpl, hcg iya yatinoona muweti if testing for pregnancy, cortisol and many more and each of these hormones ine basa rayo
5. Anchor🔱💪, ndiwo mudzi wenhumbu inenge yakanyatsobatirira kuna amai kuti mimba isabva🤗🤗
6. Protection, it shields the foetus from certain infections though some infections like hiv🦠, rubella, syphilis and rubella can pe*****te.
Antibodies, 🔫🔫Masoja emumuviri, nemishonga💊💉Can also pass to your fetus via placenta

Localization🚩
Chevakuru implants in the upper segment of the uterus, either anterior pedyo nekudumbu ramai but mostly posteriorly kudhuze nemusana, I think chinotiza trauma yekumberi🤗🤗however both of these are normal.
Chinozomboitawo musikanzwa🤢And it decides to attach in the lower segment, at times chonovhara muromo we chibereko😭placenta previa, in this case normal delivery is impossible, only caesar 🔪Can save the day🌹

The placenta is also the culprit in conditions like gestational hypertension which may complicate to preeclampsia and eclampsia and sometimes death⚰️.

Signs Your Hormones Might Be Out of Balance ⚖️
Hormones are the body’s chemical messengers, controlling everything from your metabolism to your mood. When your hormones are out of balance, it can affect your health in many ways. Here are some common signs that your hormones might be off track:

1️⃣ Irregular Periods
Your menstrual cycle is often the first to show signs of hormonal imbalance. If you experience missed periods, extremely heavy periods, or unusually light ones, it could indicate issues like PCOS or thyroid problems.

2️⃣ Unexplained Weight Changes
If you’re gaining weight despite eating healthy and exercising or losing weight without trying, it might be related to thyroid dysfunction or insulin resistance—both linked to hormone imbalances.

3️⃣ Severe Mood Swings
Hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone play a huge role in regulating your mood. Sudden mood swings, irritability, anxiety, or depression may be signs that your hormones are off balance.

4️⃣ Fatigue or Low Energy
Feeling unusually tired, even after a full night’s rest, could be a sign of low thyroid hormone levels (hypothyroidism) or adrenal fatigue. Chronic fatigue is one of the most common complaints when hormones are out of whack.

5️⃣ Sleep Problems
Hormonal fluctuations can interfere with your sleep patterns. For example, low progesterone can make it harder to fall asleep, and high cortisol levels (stress hormone) can cause disrupted sleep or insomnia.

6️⃣ Hair Changes
Hormonal imbalances can lead to hair thinning, excessive hair growth (especially on the face), or even bald spots. Conditions like PCOS or thyroid disorders are often linked to changes in hair texture and growth.

7️⃣ Skin Issues
Fluctuating hormone levels, particularly testosterone, can lead to acne or oily skin. Women often experience acne around their menstrual cycle, but persistent skin issues might indicate PCOS or adrenal imbalances.

8️⃣ Hot Flashes or Night Sweats
Sudden hot flashes or night sweats are often associated with menopause due to a decrease in estrogen levels, but they can also occur in younger women dealing with hormonal imbalances or perimenopause.

9️⃣ Digestive Issues
If your hormones are imbalanced, it can lead to digestive issues such as bloating, constipation, or diarrhea. Your gut health and hormones are closely connected, and imbalances in one can affect the other.

What to Do If You Think Your Hormones Are Out of Balance
If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s a good idea to visit your OB/GYN or endocrinologist. They can run tests to check your hormone levels and help you understand what’s going on with your body.

💡 Your health is important! Hormonal imbalances can be treated with lifestyle changes, medication, or therapy.
