🦠 What You Need to Know About Ge***al Herpes

Ge***al herpes is one of the most common s*xually transmitted infections (STIs) and many people do not even know they have it.

It is caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV)and is usually spread through skin-to-skin contact during s*x.
This includes va**nal, a**l, and oral s*x.

🚨Signs & Symptoms

Symptoms usually show up 2 to 12 days after exposure but not everyone will have obvious signs. Some people may have no symptoms at all but can still pass the virus to others.

If symptoms do appear, they may include:

* Pain or itching around the ge****ls
* Small blisters or bumps around the ge****ls, a**s, or mouth
* Painful sores or ulcers (from burst blisters)
* Scabsas ulcers start to heal
* Painful urination
* Discharge from the va**na or urethra

🛡️ How to Protect Yourself and Others

There is no cure, but you can prevent the spread of ge***al herpes and protect yourself by:

✔️ Having one mutually faithful partner who is tested and free of STIs
✔️ Using protection correctly during s*x
✔️ Avoiding s*x during an active outbreak or when your partner has symptoms
