Today, 2 April 2026, the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) had the distinct honour of delivering a Public Lecture at Africa University in Mutare, as part of its ongoing national initiative to engage diverse stakeholders across the country. This initiative reflects the Authority’s unwavering commitment to fostering dialogue, strengthening relationships, and promoting a shared understanding of the evolving broadcasting landscape in Zimbabwe.

The lecture brought together students,and academicsin a vibrant exchange of ideas centered on the role of broadcasting in national development, the impact of emerging technologies, and the importance of regulatory frameworks that are both progressive and inclusive. It provided a valuable platform for BAZ to not only share its vision and mandate, but also to listen, learn, and draw insights from the perspectives of young people and future industry leaders.

In an era defined by rapid technological advancement and shifting media consumption patterns, such engagements are vital. They ensure that the Authority remains responsive, forward-thinking, and aligned with the needs and expectations of the communities it serves.
