The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) is delighted to inform its valued stakeholders that it will be actively participating in the Regulators’ Tournament taking place tomorrow at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ).
This exciting event brings together regulatory bodies from across the country for a day of camaraderie, wellness, and teamwork through both indoor and outdoor sporting activities. From the thrill of competitive games to the joy of friendly interaction, the tournament offers an opportunity for regulators to connect beyond the boardroom, building stronger relationships that strengthen collaboration in their respective mandates.
For BAZ, participation in this tournament is not only about sports—it is also a reflection of the Authority’s commitment to promoting unity, health, and a balanced lifestyle among its staff while engaging with fellow regulators in a spirit of partnership and mutual growth.
We look forward to showcasing the BAZ spirit on and off the field, as we continue to value the importance of teamwork, discipline, and community in shaping a vibrant regulatory environment for Zimbabwe.

See you there!

The Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) is pleased to announce its participation in the commemoration of the International Day for Universal Access to Information, which will be held on 02 October 2025 in Selous.
As the national regulator of the broadcasting sector, BAZ recognizes the importance of this global event, which emphasizes every individual’s right to seek, receive, and share information. Universal access to information is not only a cornerstone of democracy but also a key enabler of development, transparency, and accountability.
BAZ’s presence at this event reaffirms our commitment to safeguarding the principles of free, fair, and responsible broadcasting in Zimbabwe. It also reflects our dedication to ensuring that the broadcasting landscape continues to serve the public interest by providing accurate, timely, and accessible information for all citizens.
This year’s commemoration provides a valuable platform for stakeholders across sectors to reflect on the vital role of information in empowering societies, strengthening governance, and fostering sustainable development. For BAZ, it is an opportunity to demonstrate our support for initiatives that promote openness, inclusivity, and innovation in information dissemination.
As we join fellow stakeholders in Selous, BAZ underscores the message that access to information is a right, and with it comes the responsibility to use information ethically, responsibly, and for the common good.
Together, let us celebrate this day as a reminder of the power of information to connect, enlighten, and transform communities.
