2025, what an incredible year it had been! We had a boom in Petting Zoo requests, we started our Junior Farmers' Club and we started collecting our mini's ๐ where we got dexter cows, dwarf jersey woolie rabbits, frizzle bantam chickens and shorty worty Mukota pigs! We introduced ice cream making for the summer months too!
Of course there were some very low times- when our beloved Dinky Donkey galloped over the rainbow bridge and our sweet Billy buckling goat had a tragic accident ๐ญ, as well as some calving complications with some Guernsey dams and destructive veld fires. But would we have hope for the future if we didn't go through some "refining" times? Would we be as grateful if we didn't understand that not everything is a bed of roses? Farming is full of risks and taking them builds character, resilience and a deep appreciation for what we have been blessed with, no matter the outcome.
To 2026, new beginnings, endless opportunities and the privilege of being able to share this farm life with you ๐ฅฐ
Cheers and Happy New Year! โจ๏ธ
