What Causes It?

A dentist can combat dental phobia by:

1. Building Trust:
-Take time to listen to the patient’s concerns.
-Explain procedures clearly and answer questions to ease anxiety.

2. Creating a Relaxing Environment:
-Use soothing music, calming scents, and comfortable seating.
-Offer distractions like TV, headphones, or stress balls.

3. Using Gentle Techniques:
- Apply numbing gel before injections.
- Work slowly and check in regularly with the patient.

4. Offering Sedation Options:
- Use laughing gas, oral sedation, or IV sedation for highly anxious patients.

5. Encouraging Gradual Exposure:
