Dinner fatigue is real.

It’s not the chopping.
It’s not the stirring.

It’s making yet another decision when your brain is already full.

When dinner becomes predictable, evenings soften.
Less snapping.
Less rushing.
More connection.

In our FREE webinar on 25 March at 8pm, we’re sharing a simple, realistic way to plan meals without adding pressure, plus why eating together matters more than we realise.

If dinner currently drains you, this one’s for you.

Containers aren’t the enemy.

But they also aren’t exercise.

Tummy time is where babies build the strength for rolling, crawling, sitting — and eventually all those tiny fine motor skills we care about later.

As an OT, I’m not aiming for zero containers.
I’m aiming for balance.

More floor time than container time.

If tummy time feels hard (or your baby protests loudly 🙃), I’ve created a gentle, practical guide to help you make it easier, without forcing it.

Most babies roll between 4–6 months and development happens within a range, not a deadline.

Before you panic, ask:
Are they getting daily floor time and chances to try?

Small, consistent opportunities make a big difference.

If you’d like a gentle, step-by-step guide to encouraging rolling (without forcing it), link in bio to download it.

Stand a chance to win 1 of 5 prizes for entering our baking competition! The competition is OPEN from 23 Feb until 10 April 2026.

Follow Nanny ‘n Me on Instagram
Post a photo / reel of your child and nanny baking together on your grid. Make sure to tag in the photo AND caption.

Please note: Winners will be chosen randomly by lucky draw. The point is to learn and have fun baking, not what the end product looks like.

For those with private Instagram accounts - send us a DM to request us to follow you back so that you can tag us in your post. This is the only way we’ll be able to see if you’ve entered.

Winners must be in Zimbabwe. No entries sent in via DM/Emails/Stories will be valid. Tagging us in both the photo and caption is necessary for us to be able to see your entry. If the privacy of either your child or nanny is a concern, feel free to cover their faces with emoji or blur.

What surprised many moms wasn’t what their nanny was doing, it was how naturally it started happening.

When caregivers feel confident, sensory play stops being an “activity” and starts becoming a way of engaging with the child during walks, meals, and everyday routines.

That shift matters.

Because when development is woven into daily life, moms don’t have to plan, prompt, or manage it all from a distance. And that’s often the greatest relief of all.

If you’d like to see how this kind of support works in practice, you’re invited to join a FREE session (link in bio).

Sensory play hack: you’re probably already doing it.

🍎Feeding.
🛁Bath time.
👚Getting dressed.
👩‍🍼Rocking your baby before sleep.

When you slow down and stay present, these moments become rich sensory input, without adding anything extra to your day.

Babies don’t need more stimulation.
They need regulated, meaningful experiences with you.

You’re not behind.
You’re already doing more than you realise.

✨ Share this with a mom who feels the pressure to “do more.”

A lie I believed about sensory play: that it had to be messy.

For a long time, that belief alone made sensory play feel like too much, especially on tired days.

Here’s the gentle truth: sensory play is about how your baby experiences the world, not how much mess is made.

Your voice.
Your touch.
Slow movement.
Predictable routines.

These are powerful sensory experiences for a baby’s developing brain. If sensory play has felt overwhelming, this is your permission slip to simplify. Connection always counts.

Every time I speak to a working mom, I hear the same quiet fear:

“I hope I’m doing enough.”
“I feel like I’m missing pieces.”
“I don’t actually know what my baby needs to learn next.”
“It feels like there are a thousand types of play and I’m already behind.”

And honestly? You’re not wrong. There are a lot of pieces.

Sensory play.
Gross motor.
Fine motor.
Language.
Cognitive development.
Social skills.
Emotional regulation.

It’s overwhelming because development isn’t one thing, it’s a whole house being built.
And just like a house…
The foundation is responsive caregiving and secure attachment.
That’s the concrete slab.
The safety.
The trust.
The steady co-regulation that says,
“You’re safe with me.”
Then come the bricks:
one skill at a time,
layer by layer,
week by week.

The problem is:
Most caregivers don’t know which brick goes where.
Or what to prioritise.
Or how to scaffold skills in the right order.

And that’s exactly why our weekly Nanny ’n Me groups matter so deeply.

Every week:
• We strengthen the foundation
• We add the right brick
• We do it at your child’s developmental level
• And we show your nanny how to build the whole house with confidence
By the end of the year, you don’t have a house full of gaps.
You have something solid, steady, and beautifully built.
If you want the house strong and the foundation secure, now is the time to join.
