Congratulations on your pregnancy! 🌸
Your first prenatal visit is a big step — it’s where your journey toward a healthy pregnancy begins, and we’re here to walk it with you every step of the way.

Here’s how to prepare for that all-important first appointment:

🗓️ Know Your Dates
Try to remember the first day of your last menstrual period. This helps us estimate your due date.

📋 Medical History Matters
Come ready to discuss your medical history — past pregnancies, surgeries, medications, allergies, or chronic conditions.

❤️ Partner’s Health Info Helps Too
Details about the father’s medical background (if available) can help us assess risks and give you more complete care.

🧪 Be Ready for Tests
We'll likely do a physical exam, blood work, and an ultrasound — all to make sure you and baby are off to a healthy start.

📝 Write Down Your Questions
No question is too small. Whether it’s about food, symptoms, or emotions — we’re here to listen and support you.

💬 Emotional Preparation Is Key
It’s okay to feel excited, nervous, or overwhelmed. You’re not alone — this is your safe space.

Your first visit is not just about tests — it’s about building trust, understanding your needs, and ensuring you feel supported from the very beginning.

With care,
Dr. Nyikayaramba

Pregnancy Self-Care: You Matter Too! 🌸

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, but it can also be overwhelming—physically, emotionally, and mentally. That’s why self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity 💖

Here are a few gentle ways to care for yourself during this special time:

🛁 Take a short, relaxing bath to unwind
🌿 Try deep-breathing exercises or gentle pregnancy yoga
📓 Journal your thoughts, hopes, and even your worries
💤 Prioritize good sleep – a body pillow can do wonders!

Remember, a healthy baby starts with a healthy, well-supported mama. 💕

Cervical Cancer: What Every Woman Should Know

As we close Cervical Cancer Awareness Week, we’re reminded of the importance of education, prevention, and regular screening.

Cervical cancer is often caused by persistent infection with high-risk types of HPV (Human Papillomavirus).
It can develop silently, which makes early detection through Pap smears and HPV testing absolutely vital.

🔹 Symptoms may include abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, or unusual discharge
🔹 Regular check-ups can catch changes early
🔹 The HPV vaccine offers strong protection
🔹 Early diagnosis can save lives

Let this week be a reminder to prioritize your health. Talk to your doctor. Get screened. Stay informed.

🎗️ Cervical Cancer Awareness Week

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable yet still one of the most common cancers affecting women in Zimbabwe and across the world.

It develops in the cells of the cervix and is primarily caused by persistent infection with high-risk types of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV).

🔍 Key Facts:

- Cervical cancer often has no symptoms in its early stages.

- Routine Pap smears can detect changes before cancer develops.

- The HPV vaccine significantly reduces the risk of cervical cancer.

- Women living with HIV are at a higher risk and require more frequent screening.

Cervical Cancer Awareness Week is a reminder to encourage conversations around women’s health, reduce stigma, and promote education that saves lives.
