Karyn Sprinkle, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in perinatal mental health, substance use disorders, and trauma-informed care. With over 18 years of experience as both a psychiatric provider and labor & delivery nurse, she understands the unique challenges individuals and families face during life’s most important transitions.

Her practice is rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. She supports a variety of patients seeking help with anxiety, depression, medication management, substance use, and a myriad of other conditions.

When formula fed babies need to gain weight, the pediatrician's answer is, "give more formula." When breastfed babies need to gain weight, the pediatrician's answer is "give more formula". Formula should not be the default for a breastfed baby. There should be a complete feeding assessment along with questions regarding feeding schedules, patterns, anatomical issues, cultural beliefs, pumping, and more.
