All options below avoid chemical leaveners and support digestive health.

1. Aquafaba (Chickpea Brine)
Use: As a whipping agent to mimic eggs or create foam.

Congratulations on your journey into motherhood! As you explore more natural and holistic ways to care for your newborn, this guide is here to offer safe, time-tested herbal remedies and wellness tips to support common concerns like teething, diaper rash, colic, and more.

All remedies listed are gentle and safe when used correctly. However, always consult your pediatrician before introducing new herbs, especially in babies under 6 months.



1. Teething Relief

Symptom: Irritability, swollen gums, drooling

Herbal Remedies:

Chamomile Tea: Chamomile is a natural anti-inflammatory and calming herb. Brew a weak chamomile tea (1/4 tsp of dried flowers in 1 cup boiling water, steep for 5 minutes), let it cool, and rub it on your baby’s gums with a clean finger or cloth.

Clove Oil (Diluted): Clove is a natural numbing agent. For babies over 6 months, mix 1 drop of clove essential oil with 1 tablespoon of a carrier oil (like coconut oil) and apply a tiny amount to the gums.

Tip: A chilled (not frozen) chamomile tea-soaked washcloth can double as a teether.



2. Diaper Rash
