Relaxation Yoga tonight at Sandy Basin Annex

From 6.30pm, free to attend, all you need is a yoga mat.

Tomorrow is a Full Moon (Worm Moon to be exact) so we’re going to be working through a slowed down version of a moon salutation, a balancing pranayama (breath work) and a calming guided relaxation

Great turn out for classes in February !!!!

With rotation starting I know childcare can be a bit of an issue but remember you are welcome to bring kids along with you, just remember to bring some entertainment or get them to join in!!!

Yoga and breath work can really help teens and pre teens build good balance, coordination and also help to deal with anxiety and emotions

Monday Relaxation Yoga is beginner friendly, good if you’re brand new to yoga, feel stressed out, need a recovery day or are pre/post natal

Wednesday Yoga Flow is more of a dynamic pace, with strengthening and balance postures. We keep it beginner friendly but it’s good if you’re looking for more of a challenge and a bit more of a workout …

We’re still taking it gently due to shoulder injury, but I’ve worked in some strengthening and balance/coordination focused postures!

Relaxation Yoga tomorrow

we're going to be focusing on opening the hips (root chakra focused movements) which allows us a physical and emotional release of tension and stress.

our peak pose is going to be Frog ... which is a love or hate pose but has huge benefits .... a deep, restorative, and (sometimes) intense hip-opening posture that primarily stretches the inner thighs, groin, and hips, making it ideal for improving flexibility and reducing tightness. It increases range of motion, strengthens the core, helps relieve lower back pain, improves circulation, and can help release emotional tension

Injury update : yep its still going on ... it's about a 4 - 6 week healing timeframe but it's more looking like 6 week mark because I'm terrible at 'going easy' or 'letting it rest' so Wednesday Yoga Flow is going to be more slow flow for the foreseeable

INJURY/CLASS UPDATE : so I had hurt my shoulder which affected range of motion (plus I’ve then caught a cold/flu) it’s looking good for Monday Relaxation, Yoga Flow might still be a bit hard on the joint so I am planning on doing a double relaxation week …
