World Ovarian Cancer Day is dedicated to raising awareness about ovarian cancer – often called the "silent killer" due to its subtle symptoms and late diagnosis.

This year’s theme, "No Woman Left Behind," emphasises the urgent need for equitable access to diagnosis, care, and support for all women, regardless of geography, income, or background.​

Ovarian cancer begins in the ovaries, which are part of the female reproductive system. Common symptoms of ovarian cancer include:​

Abdominal bloating or swelling​
Pelvic or abdominal pain​
Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly​
Frequent urination​
Fatigue, back pain, or changes in menstrual cycle​

Early detection saves lives. This May, NMC Healthcare encourages all women to stay informed, listen to their bodies, and prioritise regular checkups. Speak to a
