Minal Manmohan Sawant, CPC, as over 10 years of experience in the medical coding industry, having started her professional journey in 2015. She has worked across a range of specialties, developing a strong understanding of coding accuracy, compliance, and quality. She currently serves as a Quality Assurance Leader at GeBBS Healthcare, where her work focuses on maintaining coding standards and regulatory compliance.

Minal also serves as the President of the newly established AAPC Mumbai Local Chapter, where she is committed to strengthening the medical coding community in India. In this leadership role, she actively promotes learning, networking, and professional growth by organizing educational sessions, webinars, mentorship initiatives, and collaborative programs that empower coders at every stage of their careers.

Outside of her professional work, Minal is a trained Indian classical dancer and enjoys reading and writing, exploring nature, cooking, and continually developing new skills.

Shimi Das, MSc, COC, CCS, CHIM, is a Health Information Management and Revenue Cycle professional with over 21 years of experience across the U.S. and UAE healthcare systems. Her expertise includes medical coding, revenue cycle operations, clinical coding audits, coding compliance, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), and physician training on DRG systems and documentation standards.

She currently serves as an RCM Supervisor at a Dubai-based hospital, where she supports and mentors the RCM team, provides regular performance feedback, and helps staff adopt emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools. Her responsibilities include managing payer relations, pricing and negotiations, workflow optimization, quality initiatives, and training new team members on UAE insurance protocols and billing practices.

Shimi has been involved with the AAPC International Chapter–UAE since 2020. She served as Education Officer for the AAPC Abu Dhabi Local Chapter from 2020 to 2022 and has held the position of Vice President since 2023. In this role, she contributes to community learning and professional development through mentorship and training.

Outside of work, Shimi enjoys spending time in nature, traveling, exploring new places and culture, gardening, and swimming. These are activities that help her stay grounded and balanced.

Ashique CT, CPC, is a healthcare coding professional with over two decades of experience in the revenue cycle industry. He began his coding career in 2002 and has since held several leadership roles, focusing on team development, operational efficiency, and quality improvement. In his current position as Associate Vice President at Coronis Ajuba Solutions, he oversees operations and supports teams in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and continuous learning.

As President of the AAPC Chennai–India Local Chapter, Ashique plays an active role in advancing coder education and professional development. Under his leadership, the chapter conducts monthly educational sessions that reach more than 5,000 attendees, offering accessible learning opportunities for coders at all experience levels.

Ashique values mentorship and knowledge-sharing, and he is committed to fostering a supportive environment where coding professionals can strengthen their skills and stay current with industry expectations. Serving the community is meaningful to him, and he continues to contribute to initiatives that benefit both the Chennai chapter and the wider coding community.
