A team from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute recently visited the Magdi Yacoub Heart Center in Aswan, Egypt, to strengthen international collaboration in advanced heart failure and transplant services.

Through its team of multidisciplinary experts and advanced therapies, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi continues to provide access to world-class care for patients with complex heart conditions.

Two years ago, became the first in the UAE to introduce Focal One Therapy, offering patients a non-invasive, high-precision alternative to treat prostate cancer. We mark this milestone as the largest Focal One center in the country, the first globally to perform it remotely across continents, and a proud member of the Cleveland Clinic network that has helped more than 210 patients around the world with this innovative procedure.

نجح في إجراء علاج بالإشعاع الموضعي بين الأنسجة، في خطوة نوعية تعكس التقدم في مجال الرعاية الدقيقة لمرضى السرطان.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the first-ever robotic lung transplant in the Gulf region — a historic achievement that places among only five centers worldwide to have performed this groundbreaking procedure.

Led by Dr. Usman Ahmad, Division Chair of Thoracic Surgery, Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute, a multidisciplinary team completed the complex procedure on two patients with advanced lung disease. Using a minimally invasive robotic approach, the surgeries resulted in reduced pain, faster recovery, and new hope for patients.

With over 60 lung transplants performed since 2022, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible, bringing world-class, life-saving care closer to home.

نفخر بالإعلان عن إجراء أول عملية زراعة رئة بمساعدة الروبوت في المنطقة، في إنجاز تاريخي ليصبح المركز الخامس حول العالم الذي يقدم هذا النوع من الإجراء الجراحي المبتكر.

The World Transplant Games aims to celebrate the success of organ, tissue and bone marrow transplantation while raising awareness about organ donation. The games are the world’s largest event for transplant athletes, living donors and donor families.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is home of the largest multi-organ transplant center in the region. With the support of our partners from the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi, and the National Programme for Organ Donation and Transplantation, ‘Hayat’. Giftoflifead, we’ve completed 875 transplants since 2017.
