It has been almost a year since my colleagues and I established the new department of Minimally Invasive Vascular Surgery at Metropolitan General in Athens, Greece. Apart from our everyday cases (standard EVARs, open carotid, EVLA, AVF etc) there were a few that challenged us. In 2023 we managed to perform a number of complicated cases and continue our academic/research projects despite working full time in a private hospital. My team and I are looking forward to more challenges in 2024!
