We’re pleased to welcome Mira Nasr to The Valens Clinic & Young Valens as a Licensed Counselor.

Mira has over 22 years of experience supporting children and adolescents aged 3 to 15. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling, and is trained in Mental Health First Aid and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Her expertise includes managing stress, anxiety, anger, self-harm, and social challenges, while also providing essential parenting support.

Having lived, studied, and worked in more than 15 countries, Mira brings unique cultural insights and is fluent in English and Arabic, with a working knowledge of French.

Dr. Arnone is a Professor of Psychiatry at Mohammed Bin Rashid University and is a globally trained clinician and academic bringing decades of experience from leading institutions across the UK, UAE, and Canada.
He trained in England at St George’s, Oxford, Manchester (PhD), South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Centre for Affective Disorders (Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience) and King’s College London, UK.

Dr. Arnone has extensive experience and clinical expertise across all adult psychiatric disorders including Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders and ADHD. Before everyone heads out for summer 🏖️ The Valens Clinic, Reem Neuroscience and Focus Gulf have the pleasure of announcing the 2026 edition of ‘Dialogues’, which will take place on Saturday 13th June in Dubai.

What a thought-provoking session with Dr. Radwan Karam on AI in modern psychiatry last evening. Dr. Radwan introduced us to the current tools being used in clinical settings, gave us a glimpse into the innovations his research team is shaping and we even got to interact with one of them ourselves!

It left us wondering: Where is this going? Will therapy one day be accompanied by a bot in the room, forming a kind of symbiosis between human and machine? Can technology support (not replace) the emotional depth of clinical care?

This was an internal session, offered only to the clinical team at The Valens Clinic.

Thank you, Dr. Radwan, for inspiring us to think critically and creatively about the future!
