Do you think your workplace is ready for this kind of change?

https://gulfnews.com/amp/story/uae%2Fpeople%2Fhow-uae-womans-silent-miscarriage-inspired-a-bold-new-workplace-policy-1.500101822

Miscarriage affects not just women, but their partners as well. If these feelings go unaddressed, the emotional strain can linger—affecting relationships, mental health, and wellbeing.

Encouraging therapy or support groups can provide safe spaces to process grief and build emotional resilience.

This is why we need more than just policies—we need empathetic work cultures.

Catastrophizing is a cognitive distortion or pattern of negative thinking that often leads us down a path of imagining the worst possible outcomes. It is like a mental magnifying glass, where even the smallest concerns can balloon into looming disasters or the worst-case scenario.

While not officially classified as a mental health condition, catastrophizing chips away at our sense of self-worth, while leaving us feeling like we are constantly falling short in a world filled with both imagined and real disasters.

By practicing cognitive reframing through self-guided activities, psychotherapy, or medication, you can alter your thought process.

Feeling numb to both good and bad experiences is a sign something is going on with your mental health care. It’s either a side effect of cor a symptom of a mental health disorder.

Emotional blunting means you can’t seem to cry or feel sad about things that normally would make you miserable. You also can’t seem to laugh or smile at things that normally make you happy.

People experiencing this side effect often describe themselves as feeling “flat” or “detached,” or having “dull” emotions.

Some people may continue to experience emotional blunting even after they make medication changes. If you have ongoing mental health issues, it’s important to seek treatment.

Saying "NO" isn’t about negativity; it's a profound act of self-care and respect.

Each "NO" is a statement: a commitment to your priorities, a defense against burnout, and a refusal to be overwhelmed by endless demands.

You must probably be aware of OCD. Although, are you aware of OCPD? While there are some similarities between the two, there are also significant differences, which is why they are entirely distinct.

OCD is a mental health disorder characterized by excessive thoughts and repetitive behaviors. OCPD, on the other hand, is a personality disorder. Unlike a mental health disorder that may be short-term and treatable, a personality disorder is a lifelong disorder that disrupts thoughts, behavior, and mood. These issues can cause great distress to an individual.
