Dr Rahul Shivadey is an accomplished arthroscopy and sports medicine specialist having performed 1500+ knee and shoulder arthroscopic procedures and 1500+ trauma and replacement surgeries. A university topper with gold medal and a fellowship from Budapest under Prof Hangody set him on the path of Cartilage regeneration. He is the founder member of INDIAN CARTILAGE SOCIETY and has served as the ex
ecutive member of the ICRS and presently is the executive member of ICS. Dr Rahul is credited with performing the first single stage bilateral total knee replacement in Nasik. After moving to Dubai in 2010 he is with Zulekha hospitals as the head of department. He has been credited with organizing the first live surgical demonstration of knee surgeries in Dubai. Dr Rahul has various philanthropic interests like Lions Club and Vanvasi Kalyan ashram: an NGO . He has a loving wife Dr Keya a gynecologist and 2 loving kids Aaditya and Anushka.

Malaysia and Kuantan in the annual Malaysian orthopedic conference was a great opportunity to meet and link up with Presidents of many Asian societies. Thanks to Dr Tungku Muzaffar and his team for the rich Asian hospitality and a great Congress with 2000+ delegates . Representing Indian Cartialge Society was my honor and was pleased to see the excitement the Cartilage talks generated among the young sports surgeons in the conference

The Trivandrum Arthroscopy Conference and Workshop held on February 17th and 18th, 2024, at the Leela Kovalam Beach Hotel and Al Arif Hospital was a significant event in the field of arthroscopy. With over 200 delegates in attendance, including national and international faculties, the event saw a vibrant exchange of knowledge and expertise.
Among the highlights were seven live surgeries, demonstrating cutting-edge techniques in arthroscopy. The participation from the industry added value to the event, showcasing the latest advancements in technology and equipment.
I was invited as an esteemed international faculty membe and I led a Cadaveric Arthroscopy Workshop on February 17th, where I imparted essential skills and advanced techniques to 20 young arthroscopy surgeons. The demonstrations were met with great appreciation from all the delegates, further enriching the learning experience at the conference.
The first of its kind Cadaveric cartilage workshop in UAE was a great success thanks to the enthusiastic faculty engagements , the keen interest of the delegates and the industry support ad always . Again a big thanks to all to make this a grand success .

Being an active orthopedic specialist for 20 years he has not only excelled in routine orthopedic traumatology but during the past 15 years he has established himself in the arthroscopy and sports medicine field. A university topper with gold medal form APSU Rewa M.P he was always an avid learner. A fellowship from Budapest under Prof Hangody bolstered set him on the path of Cartilage regeneration. this super specialty field in sports medicine is the future of Joint preservation medicine. He was the founder member of INDIAN CARTILAGE SOCIETY and under Dr Deepak Goyal (founder president) has served the interests of the society. He served as the executive member of the ICRS and presently is the executive member of ICS. He is also on the editorial board of IJBST journal group.

his present interest in cartilage regeneration has seen him acquire newer skills and surgical techniques to introduce the concept of KNEE PRESERVATION over knee replacement in the middle-aged adult population.
