Carbone Clinic Middle East Center providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism. The instructors are supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).

The Carbone Clinic in Dubai provides clinic based instruction to families in Dubai and consultation services to families that visit us from overseas. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the science in which tactics derived from the principles of behavior are applied to improve socially significant behavior and experimentation is used to identify the variables responsible for the improvement in beha

vior. Its application to children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities has been well researched and shown to lead to meaningful increases in the skill level of children. Clinic based one-on-one instruction is used to assess learner needs and develop skills through the provision of direct instruction several hours per week. The instruction is delivered by qualified instructors in a well-equipped environment. Effective data recording methods are utilized and instructional decisions are guided by student performance data. We provide consultations to families, including families who visit our Center from other countries. Consultations provide an assessment of the learner's strengths and areas of need based upon direct observation and interaction with the learner. Consultations are carried out by certified BCBA and BCaBA. A full range of skill domains, e.g. verbal behavior, self-care, socialization, etc. are assessed including those identified in the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment & Placement Program (VB-MAPP). Problem behavior that includes self-injury or behavior that interferes with learning will receive priority attention during the assessment. The assessment will also include a determination of the teaching methods which appear to facilitate the learner's acquisition of important skills. Families can bring their own therapists/nannies to the consultations. Through hands-on coaching, the learner's parents/therapists/nannies are trained to implement the most effective teaching procedures. The first consultation is either three or five days. In addition the center is dedicated to the training of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts (BCaBA). This is accomplished by providing training that meets the guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Some of our staff are working towards obtaining certification while receiving the world class training offered by Dr. Carbone and the Carbone Clinic.
