Vibration plates are not a trend.
They are a tool, when used correctly. ❤️

But, if you start too intense, especially with lipedema, you may trigger a histamine response:
• Itching
• Redness
• Warmth

This is not failure.
It’s overstimulation.

For lymphatic support:
✔ 10–20 Hz
✔ Start with 5 minutes
✔ Increase gradually
✔ Consistency > intensity

Inside my Vibration Plate Blueprint, I break down:
• Exact frequency guidance
• Safe progression plan
• 10 standing exercises
• How to combine with dry brushing + self-MLD
• When to avoid it

If you want it, comment PLATE and I’ll send it to you personally. ❤️

I prayed for days like this, even when I couldn’t see how they would happen. 🥹

Some of you know pieces of my story.
The seasons where things were uncertain.
The rebuilding.
The quiet prayers.
The moments I questioned everything.

Others met me later,
when the clinic was stable,
when the growth became visible,
when it looked structured and “figured out”.

But nothing about this life was accidental.

It was built through hard decisions.
Through faith.
Through discipline.
Through showing up even when it felt heavy.

Today, I feel deeply grateful. 🤍

Grateful to do work that matters.
Grateful for the women who trust me.
Grateful for the challenges that once felt overwhelming, and now feel like proof of growth.

Sometimes the chaos is the privilege.

And I don’t take this life lightly. 🤍

Every year, many of my patients in Dubai ask me:
“Can I fast safely with lymphedema?”

The answer is not black and white.

Fasting can be safe for many women, but only with structured adjustments:

✔ Proper hydration between Iftar & Suhoor
✔ Smart compression timing
✔ Gentle movement after Iftar
✔ Anti-inflammatory food choices
✔ Knowing when NOT to fast

Your faith matters.
But your health comes first. 🙏🏻🤍

I created a free, detailed Ramadan Lymphatic Care Guide for women fasting with lymphedema, lipedema, or swelling concerns.

It includes:
• Hydration strategy
• Compression planning
• Warning signs
• Safe fasting checklist

Comment RAMADAN and I’ll personally send it to you.

Save this post, you may need it later this month. 🤍

They told her to just live with it.

And this is something I hear far too often.

After breast cancer surgery.
After lymph node removal.
After swelling starts.

Women are reassured. Told it’s “normal”. Told to wait.

But persistent swelling is not something you just accept.

Early intervention with proper assessment, manual lymph drainage, compression and education can completely change the outcome.

This is not about blaming doctors.
It’s about filling the gap.

Lymphedema education should be part of cancer care, not an afterthought.

If you’ve ever been told to “wait it out”, you’re not alone.

And you’re not dramatic for wanting answers.

1. The Caretaker
You learned to read the room before you spoke.
Other people’s emotions came first.
You became the steady one.

Now you hold space for everyone.
Nurse. Therapist. Doctor. Physio. Coach.
Still caring. Still carrying.

2. The High Performer
Love felt connected to achievement.
So you became excellent. Reliable. Driven.

You don’t just show up, you deliver.
Specialist. Surgeon. Leader. Founder.
Your worth feels tied to results.

3. The Regulator
Chaos was familiar.
So you became calm under pressure.

Emergencies don’t shake you.
Crisis roles. Acute care. Fast decisions.
You function best when others freeze.

4. The Thinker
If you understand it, you can control it.
So you studied. Analyzed. Mastered.

Research. Academia. Strategy.
You live in logic, because feelings once felt unsafe.

5. The Invisible One
It felt safer not to take up space.
So you became the reliable backbone.

Admin. Operations. Support roles.
Essential, but rarely seen.

None of these are flaws.
They were intelligent adaptations.

But survival roles were never meant to be permanent identities.

You’re allowed to keep your skill
without carrying the old weight.

You’re allowed to heal too.

Re-introducing myself 🤍
For everyone who’s new here, and those who’ve been walking this journey with me.

I’m Tanja, a Certified Lymphedema Therapist & Physiotherapist based in Dubai. I help women living with lymphedema, lipedema, and post-surgical swelling feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.

Starting my Lymphedema Support Group in January 2026 was a personal milestone for me, and I’m currently working on launching a Lipedema Support Group as well.

Beyond the clinic, I’m a wife, a mom of two, a beach lover, a reader, and a lifelong learner 🤍

Thank you for being here, this community means more to me than you know. 🩷

Today, on World Cancer Day, I want to talk about something that is still often missing from the conversation.

Many women are sent home after breast cancer treatment with stitches, drains, and scars. But without education,
without guidance, and without a clear plan for their lymphatic system.

For some, lymphedema becomes part of their cancer journey, not years later, but as a direct result of treatment.
And yet, this is rarely discussed early enough.

On World Cancer Day, let’s spread awareness that cancer care doesn’t end with surgery or radiation.
Early education, early physiotherapy, and proper lymphatic care matter.

The more we talk about this, the better we can support women, from the very beginning. 🙏🏻🩷

This has been a long time dream of mine 🩷

To create a safe space where women can learn, ask questions, and realise they don’t have to “just live with” the side effects of cancer treatment.

Today reminded me why education matters.
Why early awareness matters.
And why community changes everything.

So grateful to Breast Friends, Dr. Houriya and Dr. Melanie for making this possible, and to every woman who showed up with an open heart.
And to my team for their incredible support 🩷

We’ll be meeting again next month.
If this speaks to you, you’re already welcome here. 🩷

This feels like a very personal milestone, a long held dream finally coming to life, and my way of giving back by supporting and empowering women. 🙏🏻🩷

Lymphedema is still largely unknown in this part of the world, and too many women are told to “just live with it”.

My intention is simple, to spread awareness and remind women that there is treatment, support, and a way to feel better after cancer and other medical treatments.

This group is a safe space for women living with lymphedema, or those at risk of developing it.
We’re planning to meet once a month, with different topics, guest speakers, and gentle activities focused on education, empowerment, and connection.

If you or someone you know is living with lymphedema (or at risk), you are welcome here. 🫂🩷

💬 DM me if you’d like to join the next meeting. 🩷

Compression garments are an essential part of Phase 2 lymphedema treatment, not the starting point. 🙌🏻

One of the most common mistakes in lymphedema care is fitting compression garments before swelling is properly reduced.
Effective lymphedema management requires decongestive treatment first, followed by accurate compression garment measurement.

For best outcomes:
• Swelling should be reduced prior to measurement
• Compression garments should be fitted in the maintenance phase
• Measurements must be performed by a Certified Lymphedema Therapist who understands limb shape, tissue changes, and disease progression

Proper compression is not just about wearing a sleeve.
It’s about clinical timing, precision, and long-term results.

Save this for later. Share it with someone navigating lymphedema care. 🩵

22/01/2026

When I say precise measurements, I mean this. 🙌🏻🩵
Flat-knit compression garments are designed to fit accurately and help maintain the smallest possible size of the limb after the initial treatment.

That’s why measurements are taken at the final appointment of Phase 1, when swelling has been reduced to its minimum possible level.

Equally important is that measurements should be performed by a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT).
Accurate measuring requires an understanding of limb shape, tissue changes, fibrosis, pressure gradient etc… Details that directly affect long-term results. 🩵
