Next time your child is dysregulated, try this:
Sit beside them (don’t send them away).
Breathe slowly — let them match your rhythm.
Say: “I’m here. I know it feels big. Let’s breathe through it together.”

Is My Child Anxious? Here’s What to Look For.
Anxiety in kids doesn’t always look like worry or fear. Sometimes, it looks like:
⚡ Stomach aches before school
⚡ Refusing to try new things
⚡ Meltdowns over small changes
⚡ Perfectionism and fear of making mistakes
⚡ Trouble sleeping or nightmares
⚡ Restlessness or difficulty concentrating
Many children don’t yet have the words to say, “I feel anxious.” Instead, they show it through their behavior, body, and emotions.
As parents, caregivers, and educators, one of the best things we can do is help them name what they’re feeling. Giving kids the language to express their emotions builds emotional resilience and helps them feel understood.
If you notice signs of anxiety in your child, start by:
- Validating their feelings (“I see you’re feeling nervous. That’s okay.”)
- Teaching simple coping skills like deep breathing or grounding techniques
- Keeping open conversations about emotions without judgment

We are the first comprehensive pediatric neuroscience center in the region and we are dedicated to providing excellent medical care with a personal touch and convenience that only a specialized center can offer. One of the major drivers behind the development of Neuropedia has been the lack of a holistic neuro-multidisciplinary service for children in the country. We aim for our comprehensive and integrated model to be recognized as a benchmark for children’s neuroscience care which is emulated around the country and the region.
What sets Neuropedia apart is our staff and our approach. We bring interdisciplinary and collaborative neuroscience care involving child neurologists, child psychiatrists, psychologists, specialized nurses, physical therapists, behavioral therapists and other allied specialties. The model we employ at our center emphasizes first the importance of accurate diagnosis before embarking on any rehabilitative process. We have therefore brought in all relevant specialties under one-roof. This makes an integrated, collaborative, multi-disciplinary and effective neuroscience care a reality.
