HSFA is video based, instructor led course that teaches adult, child and infant CPR and AED use and how to relieve choking in adults, children and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven “practice-while-watching” technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide students’ learning skills. inflammation, chain of infection, standard infection control precautions, management of blood and body fluids, sterilization techniques and cleaning procedures, managing and reducing risk of infection, health and safety guidelines for infection control. This course is designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills and pharmacological knowledge for treating cardiovascular emergencies. This is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who require specialized knowledge for their job.
