🐱 Vet Tip of the Week 🐾
Did you know cats are obligate carnivores?
That means they must eat meat to stay healthy! Unlike dogs or humans, cats can’t survive on a vegetarian or vegan diet — their bodies rely on nutrients found only in animal tissue, like taurine, vitamin A, and arachidonic acid.

Feeding a proper meat-based diet supports their heart, vision, skin, and immune system. Keep your feline friend thriving by giving them the food nature intended! 🐾🍗

If you would like some advice on the best diet for your cat please call us at the clinic, we would be happy to help ☺️ 043142444

📌 New at British Veterinary Hospital! 🐾

Have you spotted our brand new notice board in the reception area? 🎉 We’re excited to launch this as a fun and informative space for all our lovely clients and their pets!

This month we’re kicking things off with Staff Pets Month – so come meet the adorable animals behind our amazing team. From snuggly cats to cheeky pups, you’ll get a peek into the furry family members who inspire us every day. 💕

But that’s just the beginning! Each month, the board will focus on a different pet health topic to help you learn more and stay informed. Topics will include:
🦷 Dental care
🐶 Puppy & kitten tips
👵 Geriatric pet advice
🌿 Toxic foods & plants
⚖️ Weight management
🍽️ Nutrition tips
…and so much more!

🧠 Our goal is to make veterinary knowledge more accessible and engaging. Notice boards like this are a great way to share helpful reminders, start important conversations, and keep you updated on how to give your pet the best care possible.

📅 So next time you’re in, take a moment to check it out—you might just learn something new!

From Puppy to Lifelong Companion ❤️🐾

Meet Ami, the 11.5-year-old toy poodle who has been the love of her owner’s life since they first met in South America as a little boy. Together, they moved to Dubai, and since 2017, they’ve been part of the British Veterinary Hospital family.

Swipe to see something truly special — a photo of young Ami and her young owner taken right after her spay at our clinic 8 years ago… and the exact same moment, recreated today. The boy has grown into a man, and little Ami into a vibrant senior — still healthy, still happy, still deeply loved.

Ami’s glowing health at 11.5 years is no coincidence. It’s the result of dedication: regular checkups, timely vaccinations, routine parasite treatments, and a loving home that never misses a beat.

Her owner hopes she’ll reach 20 — and with this kind of care, she just might.

✨ Because true love means giving our pets not just a long life, but a healthy and joyful one too.

✨ Health span matters — it’s never too early to invest in your pet’s future.

✨ Meet Cookie! ✨🐾

This sweet girl came in for a nurse consultation with our qualified nurse Sophia, and just look at that face! 😍 During her visit, we had a great chat about her weight and her upcoming neutering.

💬 Did you know we’re now offering FREE nurse consultations for your pets?

These appointments include a full head-to-tail clinical exam, where we check:
👀 Eyes
👂 Ears
🐾 Skin, nails & dental health 🦷

Nurse consultations are a fantastic way to stay on top of your pet’s health and wellbeing — whether it’s managing their weight, keeping their skin and coat in tip-top condition, or getting advice on the best parasite treatments.
