Funny how clarity gets called “attitude” when it comes out of a woman’s mouth.

You don’t owe anyone a softer version of yourself just so they can feel safe.

If they can’t handle you being direct, that’s their discomfort to carry. Not your responsibility to fix.

And if you’re still holding back your voice at work because you don’t want to be labeled difficult, it’s costing you leadership credibility.

Every time you apologize for something that isn’t wrong, you’re teaching people you’ll take the blame for their discomfort.
That’s not grace. That’s giving away your power. You’re not “selfish.” You’re not “difficult.”
You’re just unwilling to keep betraying yourself to keep the peace.

Yesterday was Tuesday… I know I know. I’m burnt out. Ha!

Repeat after me: “I look like a leader. And that’s all that matters”… right?
Corporate mask on. ✔️
Voice filtered. ✔️
Power dimmed, but at least the team thinks you’re ‘nice.’ check.
