أظهرت دراسة حديثة في مايو 2025 بإندونيسيا تعافيًا مذهلاً لطفل يبلغ من العمر 5 أشهر مصاب بالتصلب المستعرض الطولي الممتد (LETM)، وهو مرض شديد يسبب الشلل وفقدان الإحساس.

بعد عدم استجابة الطفل للعلاجات التقليدية، لجأ الأطباء إلى حقن السرّيتوم وخلايا جذعية ميزنكيمية مأخوذة من الحبل السري. وبعد ثلاث جلسات من هذا العلاج المتقدم، بدأ الطفل يستعيد تدريجيًا قدراته الحركية ووظائف الأعصاب الذاتية، بدءًا بحركة الساقين، ثم الوقوف، وأخيرًا المشي.

تسلط هذه الحالة الضوء على إمكانات العلاج بالخلايا الجذعية كخيار واعد للحالات التي تواجه صعوبة في الاستجابة للعلاجات التقليدية.

A recent study from May 2025 in Indonesia reported a remarkable recovery in a 5-month-old baby diagnosed with longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis (LETM)—a severe condition causing paralysis and sensory loss.

After traditional treatments failed, doctors used intrathecal secretome and umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs). Following three rounds of this innovative stem cell therapy, the baby began regaining motor and autonomic functions—starting with leg movement, then standing, and finally walking again!

إنجاز علمي مذهل في الطب التجديدي 🌱

كشفت دراسة حالة حديثة (Gesundheit et al., مايو 2025) عن تحسينات جذرية في حياة صبي صغير كان يعاني من التوحد الشديد والصرع، وذلك بعد خضوعه لخمسة برامج علاج بالخلايا الجذعية الوسيطة (MSCT) باستخدام خلايا مشتقة من المشيمة والحبل السري.
